I got a Taurus .357 revolver (Thank you Brazil) and a S&W 9mm (Thank you USA). I plan on getting a Kahr P9 for concealed carry someday, but not for self defense but for all the geese I see flying over the city. I'd like to take one down and hand it to some homeless guy someday. Blam! Blam! Blam! There ya go mister. As an American with dual Swiss and American citizenship - the Swiss have an incredibly high proportion of gun ownership compared to the rest of the world. Not sure what joke you were aiming for there. Because Switzerland doesnt have an army in the traditional definition of the word. Most of the Swiss armed forces is made of conscript citizens who keep their equipment, including weapons, at home. Having been through military firearms training myself I can say I'm much happier with the idea of Swiss citizens who have done national service having guns than civilians who like the idea of owning them having access to them. The military make damn sure you respect the power of the tool and that you have safety drilled into you before they let you near it. That goes way beyond the waiting periods and background screening that is usually required.

The pistol's not bad either, but I'm just sort of amazed you have a pristine kar98k! (Assuming that's what it is tbh. Never actually seen one!) Yeah, that totally is. Thought I mentioned it somewhere in there but I didn't. Derp! Was too busy scaring people with my gunboner joke, apparently. ![]() I don't know how they stayed in great condition...I was venturing around in my basement one night and found these weird...things wrapped up in twine and tons of paper/tarps and stuff. Opened them up thinking "what the F is this" and it was all the above. Most of them were disassembled, I had to put a few parts back together, save the pistol obviously, but I was flipping out. I finally went and got the story from my dad, apparently he had them for years and I just managed to be "storage" for them. Haha. Ah, wow man, that's pretty amazing! congrats on that particular find!

The first time I ever shot (I think I was 14 or 15 at the time, so nearly 4-5 years ago.) I shot a glock 40. Never again. After half a magazine (five rounds) I felt like my arm was being ripped off. Each time I shot my arm shot up in the air a LOT. So I let my dad shoot the other half of the magazine. Even he was uncomfortable after he shot it and he's been shooting since he was a child.

I leave here Saturday and fly overnight, and if I'm not totally tired as hell or gone insane out here, I'll post em up. Assuming we don't get closed by then. And I can appreciate an awesome bow, one of my coworkers had a really slick composite that I was really jealous of. He kept that thing in his trunk though, haha. He just pulled it out one day at the office and was like. CHECK OUT MY SWEET BOW.

Anyways, I bought a Mosin Nagant a couple years back. Sick rifle for the cost. If anyone is interested in a starter rifle I would recommend it. Some stockpile closed or something and nowadays you can buy them for like $100 at Big 5.

I own a little shit 22. version, but it's SUCH a beautiful shot, and insanely safe (as far as guns go xD ) http://www.greymalkin.net/images/oldwest/revolver1875.jpg Can't wait to turn 21 and get my concealed weapons permit. I plan on going out and buying a Remington 45. six-shooter.

On the topic of bows: I used to want a bow, but after a while I think the appeal for me sort of dropped off. They do make really fun target practice though.
