I love the mechanics of the handgun, but owning one doesn't make me feel empowered or "cool."

As long as you're a member of a gun club, over 18, have a gun safe, and have the correct licenses you can own firearms in sweden.

I am so grateful for the wisdom in our constitution, and the knowledge that there are still patriots determined to defend it. On topic, I plan to own a handgun and eventually a rifle, though I do not know which ones. All I have ever shot is an M-16 in the army and I am actually very ignorant about guns. Me and him went to the firing range to test it out, and I really enjoyed it. So I think I probably plan to get one of those. Though I'm emigrating to Japan once I finish my degree, so....I don't think they allow any firearms over there. Maybe it would be better just to not get one. x.x

I mean honestly, this is a world governed by the aggressive use of force, period, whether that offends your sensibilities or not. Just the notion of being dependent upon someone else for my protection, not by choice but by law, is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. People are really so eager and so adamant about handing over their right to self-defense because they "don't see the reason for having it?" Do you not realize that the whole of human history is one group imposing it's will on another? Do you not realize your attitudes have given a complete monopoly on power to the one organization that is most likely to abuse that power against you? I'm sorry for making an argument here, I just had to get this off my chest because I am face-palming so hard reading this thread. I definitely want a gun, probably just some pistol. With great looks. USP.45 (Germans have the best guns in the world imho) + Show Spoiler + Open in tab to see more, too large pic ![]() And my favourite gun, is...HK416! + Show Spoiler + ![]() Basically M4, but Germans have improved it in every way - and it looks much cooler ![]() EDIT: I am NOT American by the way. I support right to bear guns - they should however be in some list of gun owners.

offtopic: for those curious about automatic rifles in the US : the sale of automatic rifles is basically illegal with a few exceptions (as mentioned previously in this thread), therefore, as mentioned earlier yet again weapons which are often considered pure automatic (ak's m4's etc) are sold semi-automatic. so, you go to a gunshow[these are like conventions where guns/knives are sold] and you buy a converter kit (which isn't illegal lol) and voila you have an automatic weapon so you can have swiss venison. i'm joking about the swiss venison part.

You realize people might not be home to take pictures of said guns and using a google image to show what the gun looks like.... On topic: That said my family used to own a few shotguns as my dad and I used to go hunting. When my dad passed away my mom gave the shotguns to a family friend we used to hunt with. Some day, I would to go back and do some skeet/trap shooting again since I have some fond memories with it.

Read the message at the top of the thread. There have been plenty of warns and bans for being off-topic, and you are off-topic. Anyway: I actually just checked what model my Ruger was and it turns out it's a 10/22. Seems to be a pretty popular rifle! Mine has some terrible little scope on it that I'll probably take off at some point.

Walther P99 + Show Spoiler + ![]() I do want the pre-2004 model (before they changed the trigger guard). Glock 17 or 19 + Show Spoiler + ![]() Definitely want a Glock too. This is the 4th generation model. Not sure of the calibre or size, but either 9mm or .40 S&W. Would also like a compact model, but I think in Canada, the barrel cannot be less than a certain length or it's considered a prohibited weapon, instead of restricted (I think, not an expert). Those are the ones I'd like! XD

True enough , but I think that it's too much of a hazzle(it's a serious pain) to aquire a license , besides it's not possible to get a license for a fully automatic rifle and or any military purpose weapons (Like ak.47 and the likes of it) ... So there are really not any guns I'm interested in that I'm able to buy here (even if I had a license)
