Have 8 shotguns, usually sport one of the side by sides 12 ga. Got a .38 special snub nose and a .32 A black powder .50 from back in the day Bunch of 22's, one from early 1900's I believe.
Btw inherited all my guns, only bought 1 shotgun myself.
Well i do some sport shooting...or is it called marksman...not sure about the english word for Sportschütze. I own an Air Riffle...FEINWERKBAU Kleinkalibergewehr Modell 2700 Universal if you want to look it up.
I practise for three-position competitions in my region. Riffle is always located at our shooting range...ammunition too.
I've always been intrigued by sniper rifles. However in the netherlands you basicly don't get to own guns easily. Would love to own one and learn to shoot cans like a kilometer away in a field. Can you actually do this in the US or are even sniper rifles forbidden ?
As a rule of thumb, most thieves don't mess around with or try to attack people who have automatic rifles or shotguns pointed at them. A shotgun or rifle has a much bigger psychological effect on people than a handgun or baseball bat. That's why it's semi-justified to say your shotgun or rifle is for "home defense" or "self defense", but in reality it's never going to need to be fired at an intruder anyway.
That aside, I don't like the gun situation in America and I think it should be changed.
You can't shoot anything unless your pretty far out of city limits like... say up in the mountains or on your own private property deep in the woods. Coppers can still tell you to stop if they want, just not enforced in some places that are safe and secluded. Those places are getting harder and harder to find tho obviously, times a changing.
Or you can just go to any of the gun ranges, they are all over in my area. In fact one is like a quarter mile from my house. Has a wall of guns to choose from that reminds you of a call of duty game or something.
anyone with an ar15/m4/shit like that have any recommendation for scopes? i've been thinking about getting an eotech (i would get an acog but they are soo expensive).
jericho 941 (it's kinda crappy tbh, but looks neat and cowboy bebop nerds always recognize it even tho it's black) ar-15 middy mostly built with troy parts remington auto shotgun (not sure of the model, my dad just gave it to me last year)
want:
a sig in .45
Nitrogen, eotechs are fine. There's lots more info over at the ar15 forums if you are bored.
Well seeing as I live in the UK, I dont have as much access to guns as you lucky bastards over the pond, I have to make do with restricted guns. Ive been shooting since around age 9 (26 now), received my first air rifle at 13, and been collecting rifles since ive been 19:
1/ AR15 (straight pull, not semi or auto, unfortunately) 2/ Mauser MO3 Extreme 3/ Pacific Gun Works Timberwolf 4/ Daystate Red Ranger Limited Edition (air rifle) 5/ Feinwerkbau P70 (air rifle) 6/ 3 shotguns, no idea on make, they're my fathers not mine. Got his first gun at age 6 lol. 7/ Also had a variety of pistols until the laws came in after Dumblane. (My father did anyway, got them all taken from him, even my grandfathers ww2 service pistol) Whats annoying is that you cant even keep pistols at a club. Never shot a pistol (except air pistols) and always wanted to. Maybe when i finally move over to the states........
Now with pictures (except ar 15, cant find pics of a straight pull version and the timberwolf):
1/ Mauser M 03 Extreme 2/ Daystate Red ranger LE (only 100 made) 3/ P70
And finally, this is going to be my next purchase:
Would quite like this one, think it looks great, plus it has a decent action on it. As a UK citizen, the only type of gun I'm likely to get. Currently use my dads (shhh, not supposed to do that in the UK) when I go game shooting.

If I had the money ($500ish I think), I could go buy a Remington 700 right now, after a background check. I'm not sure on something like a Barrett though, but a civilian model I imagine would be the same.

Without trying to debate too much, I have to say... I never thought I'd be a 'gun' person. When I was growing up, my father hunted, but I was just never all that interested in it. Add to that my mother actively discouraging me from them, as she had a friend kill herself via handgun when she was growing up.
So all in all I wasn't too interested in weapons... until about 5 years ago... I went to my friends college graduation party at his parents house out in foothills of Colorado... Their parents own about 40 acres of land... One of my other friends was in the military, and after he got out he was a self described 'gun nut'... He brought out with him about a dozen different firearms, and over the course of the day he let most people shoot whatever they wanted to.
First time firing an AR-15 is all it took for me to become a 'gun guy'... Simply put, it is fun to shoot guns. I'd welcome anyone from around the world to come shooting with me and my friends, and while I can't guarantee that YOU will have fun, there is no possible way you'd leave without seeing how this can be a legitimate hobby and is no more dangerous then driving when it's done properly.
