Even if someone is eligible to buy weapons doesn't mean he won't go rambo one day. You have to pay tens of thousands of dollars, not to mention have to renew your license every couple of months (which costs more money) which goes through even more background checks. If you fuck up at all, and I mean at all, you get your shit taken away. All that money you invested? Gone. All that time? Gone. It's not like people every day walk around with automaic AK's in their trunk or something. Very few people have these guns, stop comparing a .22 pistol to a .50 cal LMG.

On another note every post just reminds me how outdated my Tanegashima is >.<

+ Show Spoiler + ![]() + Show Spoiler + ![]() I might look in to getting a real one in the future, but I don't know anything about gun regulations in Canada and won't have the money for it anytime soon.

Any more than that is just ridiculous, I'm not going to need a rifle and I'm smart enough to know that I can't operate one effectively anyway. But if I did want one, I'd pick an AK. I'd install a tank on my roof, tank beats everything, some Halo references right there.

That was a perfectly valid contribution to this thread, I see no reasoning behind temporarily banning this user. On topic: Wait, what was this thread again?

You can get a non-restricted license in Canada without too much trouble. This will allow you to buy most long rifles that aren't military style. Getting a restricted license is more of a hassle but doable to allow you to buy handguns and AR-15's.

![]() Winchester 30-30 lever action For shooting deer, yo Seems ridiculously expensive to collect the damn things, but I may look into something more practical for self-defense when I own a home.

People have went from believing the purpose of laws was to ensure justice through making sure those who have violated anothers' natural rights were punished for their crimes, to a warped Minority Report sense of laws. The effect -- a totalitarian state. As for myself, I own an AR-15, Sig 226, and a M1 Garand. http://jpfo.org/ http://gunowners.org/ User was temp banned for this post.
