Zerg seemed more tedious than fun with queen injects/tumors. Given their reactionary structure, I didn't want to play a race that couldn't control game flow early without practically all-inning. Terran has a huge amount of benefits. It has the most skill based mirror, the most polished units, the best ability to control early game flow and has a lot of positional and harassment play. Pretty good deal imo.

Don't mind me, I've just spend the last three days dropping ladder points and I'm desperately waiting for the ladder to finally reset so I don't have to lose for a week while learning a new race. ![]()

I failed to see that I must respond flawlessly to my opponents play while it is mind-numbingly simple for them to completely hide what their plan actually is from every scouting means available. I didn't realize that literally every single mirror would be an endless stream of all ins, such that whoever stops going all in first and stupidly decides to make drones or expands is usually the player to lose. Half the maps it's still near impossible to defend a 4gate because spines are not possible and there is absolutely no other T1 cure to endless stalker kiting. Let's not forget that the unit that is supposed to counter the last matchups core unit is in fact inexplicably reverse-countered in 90% of games. Just swap to toss, you wont lose points once you get used to the style, its very easy mechanically to play toss to mid masters level, and wont take you long to transfer fully. the production cycles are very very long so you can get away with passable mechanics and still keep your money very very low. If you forget to warp in and start stacking money you can instantly warp in what you need, then chrono your gates for a super fast reinforce.. Shame there's not much else to the race... oh.. make collosus..

Every time I use a mothership's Vortex or a Psi Storm I just feel like a complete high-tech alien bad-ass.

There is nothing funner then winning with zerg, every victory feels completely earned and nothing can match the sheer rush you get from continually skirting the brink of defeat. Actually I remember for MONTHS going on weekly/biweekly trips to compUSA and I would always pick up the box to SC1 and think how cool the alien (hydra) looked. I would pour over the box and always wanted to know what it was like and what the heck the slug (reaver) was. Finally that christmas I got the game and jumped right into the zerg campaign because the hydra looked badass (I was 12 and didnt want to play a game like this just to be a measly human) Now that im 24 and the hydra has become a weakling I have just kind of stuck to my guns that aliens that kill without remorse or care are awesome. Who needs tech when you have evolution on your side. On a side note--the Zerg music sucks, terran OP on that front. Blizz better come up with something better for HOTS.

I might switch back to just Terran though, since learning the intricacies of 9 match-ups is just overwhelming. I'm too indecisive. =P A lot of my friends chose Protoss since they seemed the coolest race. I feel like a lot of my RL Zerg friends play Zerg so they can feel elitist about playing the harder race. Meh.
