After about a month of beta, I got bored of terran, and one of my friends recommended trying Zerg. Turns out it really fit me. Also, it was the common sentiment among the community that zerg was the weak race, so I assumed blizzard would over compensate like they usually do, and give zerg a huge buff. That turned out really well ![]() So, well, I'm still zerg.

And now I keep playing protoss because sometimes, with a flawless play, you're able to defend against those despicable swarm of quick units and completely stomp them all the way to their nest. It just feels right when you win after such a struggle, much like an hero overcoming the odds and dispensing justice.

Huk is gold for protoss streams. E: I love every race and I could play any of them so the big decision comes to these small factors which however have huge impact on my game because I watch so much SC2 and when I watch my race played, I definitely learn alot.

I started out as Zerg because I heard it was the hardest...it's true. I fell in love with the race after seeing some of the Amazing things IdrA could do, and stuck it out through the hard times and deal with losing to early timings because I love the race and feel that if you can win with Zerg, you're truly good. I now also play protoss. Why? Well, because I have become a liquid'tyler fanboy. After seeing some of his REALLY cool play, I began to fool around with toss, and found out that it's not as two dimensional as people make it sound. There are a ton of cool strategies (blink timings, both all in and otherwise, double ups, DT's, immortal builds, VR or Phoenix builds, etc) It's very timing focused, which is cool, and rewards good game sense. Since the T3 units for toss are so strong, I feel toss most strongly rewards good macro in a long game (sadface at no good hive options for zerg).

If I really had to choose one race, though, it would be terran. Why? I'm not entirely sure, but I think I would blame Idra.

Awaken my child and embrace your birthright. If ever your flesh shall fail, that flesh shall be made anew, that is my covenant with all cerebrates. If I had a magic genie, my first wish would be to have the Overmind's voice as my own.

1) Enjoyed their brief campaign cameos 2) Saw a lot of what I felt were exciting matches with Protoss players 3) In games I generally prefer the swiss army knife to the hammer, and I felt the mid game variation was geared to that for toss. 4) Mainly because I found it easy to learn some basic macro. Workers only take a second to place a building, warp gates dont need to constantly produce, chrono boosts can be forgotten then used, etc. As I'm playing it more though, I am beginning to feel like switching. PvP is too much of a brain fart for me and I almost consider changing just based off that one match up. That and really enjoying watching zerg at the moment.
