Blizzard's bid at short term profit could be causing long term damage
They've made their money. They probably don't give a fuck anymore and just want to focus on WoW. Nah, SC2 underperformed overall, particularly in korea, they misplayed it. They clearly had a long term plan, and if their estimation of the Korean market were accurate, they would have cleaned up.

I don't understand why people compare the GSL to the World Cup... the GSL is a LEAGUE. Look at the NHL or the NFL (which are both leagues aswell), they broadcast games almost seven days a week for most of the year. There needs to be ALOT of SC2 broadcasted in order to keep the interest up.

On the topic of cheeses and all-ins.
What was fun from yesterday's GSL is that, eventhough games were pretty one-sided and to some extent "boring", almost no all-in suceeded. They all got crushed. People will eventually become so good at defending those that it's not even gonna matter anymore, I'm sure... and hopeful.

No they haven't there are 2 more expansions coming up and think about the money they get if they get sc2 broadcasted since it's their IP ( if they win the case v OGN and MBC that is ). And what restrictions are you talking about jackrandomsx?? broadcasting restrictions mostly.

Gsl is like Champions League, ProLeague is like NHL, etc., I assume.
The reason why people say gsl should take notes from events like Champions League or World Cup (no one's comparing gsl to them, let's be real) is because their organisers understand that hype needs time to build up. Oversaturating the viewers with a shitton of crappy matches will not keep up the interest, quite the opposite. You can tell that by the amount of people complaining about the quality of the games.
