I searched and couldn't find anything on this. My mouse sensitivity is at max but I have my scroll speed at around 50%. What scroll speed and mouse sensitivity setting do most pros use?

They use whatever feels best for them. So should you. Try some settings out in customs or against a comp and see what fits.

Why does it matter? Shouldn't you use what's comfortable to you? What if pros just use what's comfortable to them? :o

I would guess the minimum sensitivity would be 1 swipe of the mouse = 1 move across the screen. I'd suggest a little bit more. For each person it is a balance between accuracy and speed.

There have been threads on this. Some find it very important to keep default windows settings, then a sensitivity between something like 52-56. But imo just use what you are comfortable with. We all know day [9] is particular about his 63. There is nothing small enough in game to need 1-1 movement so its not as important as say a shooter. As for scroll speed I don't know. Mine is default, never touched it. You really should be trying to scroll as little as possible anyway.

Mine's default, but my scroll speed is at 25%. Should just use what feels right to you. Btw, @Tyler, If you're not supposed to scroll how do you get around the map besides hotkeys.
Stand up for what you believe in even if it means standing alone.

Its not that you can never scroll, but you should try to use hotkeys to move around whenever possible.

It depends greatly on your mouse as well. For me I'm currently using the Logitech mouse with weights in it, so I want it a little more sensitive than my old super light wired mouse, which I want a little less sensitive than my heavy (due to the batteries) wireless mouse.

You just answered your own question. What do you need to look at that a hotkey won't get you to?

Maybe the edges of your base or the fog ahead of your army as it is revealed by their movement? Stuff like that. Both of these require a very small amount of scroll.

6\11 for your comps mouse settings and 50% for Sc2 dont change any of them. If you want to have faster movement change the DPI of your mouse

This. It's like when people ask me "what is the best skateboard brand?" or "what paintball marker is the best" well...it's what you like, I know people that stand by Zero boards, but I like Mystery and Baker, same kinda thing in paintball, some people love Invert Mini's and I really like the TM15 and DP G3's.

That's not true. There is no exact number, but there can be an optimal range. In FPS games it's very widely accepted that low sensitivity (and I mean low) is the best. Sure you can get comfortable with a higher sensitivity, but it's much harder to achieve the same level of control (or maybe impossible) that you'd get with a lower sensitivity. There's a reason every single FPS pro plays with really low sensitivity, and it's not just coincidence. As for Starcraft though, it probably doesn't matter as much unless you really need to be clicking on individual units a lot. I would say a low-mid sensitivity would be optimal because most of the movements are rather large sweeping motions and the things you click on are big (like buildings or even most units) but it's not so high that you'd have a hard time clicking a zergling.

For finding your best sensitivity try to do mouse exercises in the game. Click on a mineral patch then click on a far away mineral patch and keep going back and forth. If you're constantly overshooting it lower your sensitivity, and if you're constantly undershooting it raise it. If you can consistently click the mineral on various sensitivities make the exercise harder by introducing patrolling units, and obviously the smaller the unit is the harder it'll be.

Not actually true. Sensitivities in certain ranges minimise pixel-skipping, which makes you more accurate.

the common thing i hear is 6/11 in windows and 51% ingame

A few other people said it already, 50% ingame & 6/11 in windows makes the mouse movement 1:1 with pixels. If you do a search on TL you can find threads where people explain it in great detail.

But if you care about having the most precise movement you need a mouse with 2000 DPI or higher. If its a lot lower then your mouse movements won't be completely accurate if you keep ingame & windows settings standard.

I never touch any of this stuff in games, I usually screw something up and it gets too snappy or too slow. I play in windowed mode (which I think keeps my mouse speed at the same as elsewhere) and have my mouse settings at 1800 dpi

well i dont know if my razer copperhead overrides the windows settings, but i use 7/11 in windows, 65% in-game, and 800 dpi on my mouse itself

edit: 65% mouse sensitivity, 35% scroll speed. i only scroll when i'm microing, i hotkey to get around everything else. duno how you guys play at like 50%+ scroll speed, that's insane.

42% 1600 dpi 80% scroll speed

im actually very surprised that you guys play at 50% scroll speed. maybe mine is too high. My friend plays with 50% and i feel that it's mindnumbingly slow.
