However the download always errors out on me at 77% for some blimp death animation.
Anyone else getting this issue?
I just finished patching and I had no problems what so ever. Also I did not have to download another 60mb after the initial 900 mb I had o.O Just gotta wait for this maintenance to be over with..

This is exactly what happened to me, but the second 60mb patch ruined my launcher! Now it says there is an error and starcraft 2 can't start.

no, sorry, i'm also in the us, i feel the pain too!

You now have to authenticate your SC2 account to use the editor. And it seems it got an upgrade also.

This is exactly what i had in my realmlist.stf file : set patchlist eu-beta.patch.battle.net:1120/patch
Make sure you have the hide extensions for known filetypes feature off else your file would end up looking like this "realmlist.stf.txt :T

I'm in the US and I'm having some difficulties with the patch as of now.
When I bring up SCII it seems to crash. The program brings up the loading bar, but when it finishes, the entire program just closes out of no where.
Is it because of the patch they are trying to be up or am i screwed? Halp D:

It says 1 suppy for roach, 7 range for void ray, the data is from a previous patch, or they regressed a lot of changes. I'm almost 100% positive that the application data <comes> from Starcraft II data files. As in such the sc2 tools is completely reliable, but not the patch we've gotten. In order words, there will be another patch.
This is correct. As I already said I confirmed the changes from the actual data files, with no tools used except for the extraction of the data files from the MPQ (which is like unzipping a .zip). So, this is very probably just a "baseline patch" with the heavy stuff like sounds, graphics and maps, and the actual gameplay variables (just a megabyte or two) will come in another patch when the servers pop up.

Don't be rash and update your game before the servers are about to go up. Play around with UMS and watch replays while you still can. Those who updated their client essentially locked their game.

I just finished patching with no problem (EU) and I am happy to see that the process freed about 7 Gb on my hard drive

The presence of files for the Lurker simply indicates that they left a few campaign resources in the data files before pushing them out to us. Obviously it is desirable for them to prune campaign resources from these betas so people don't data mine spoilers for the campaign, but either the process is automated (and not perfect) or the process was manual (and not perfect).
The lurker won't be in multiplayer.

If anyone is wondering what the changes (Visual only) to the map editor were...

The Lurker might also be in the single player campaign. You know, since there will be firebats and whatnot, I figure they probably will have other old units too.
Also, the EU in the realmlist file thing worked out for me.

Try re installing remember to back up your replays first if you want. And follow the instructions from the OP

lewl.. i've been at work for 5 hours.. i am glad i was not able to participate in this epic wait... i hope they release patch notes soon though, but i am not sure if they will even release patch notes since they really don't have reason to (no data since last patch really...)
