If they do put the beta up, it will be after they check the patching system on the EU side, then shift to the US, and possibly others. They are testing.
Putting patching info on the server makes no sense unless beta is coming up soon. Putting the beta up on a weekend wouldn't make any sense either. Beta is most likely coming up tomorrow imo.

Because this patch reset the game to an earlier state, so they have to patch it again (probably with the first "release patch") to be up-to-date.

I don't have beta installed on a nearby machine, or I'd do it myself.
Then I remembered I do have beta installed on my old desktop, so I went and did it myself. A bunch of polishing work - string changes, unit data for critters, data for the help system, that kind of thing. I don't see any changes to unit stats or really anything of significance gameplay-wise. Maybe that stuff is still to come.
EDIT: I have no idea what sc2tools is or where it's getting its information. I just posted what I see in the UnitData.xml and similar files.

All this damn patch did is make the client useless,no more editor,pr replays or vs AI.

Ever seen preloaded WoW patches? They push patch data weeks in advance for those. They could easily be doing something similar here. For all we know (which isn't very much really) the beta as as much chance of coming out today as it does coming out tomorrow and as it does coming out on monday.

Can anyone confirm if this is old news? Or if it's safe to continue?
Just opened SC2 after patching and the Terran "base is under attack" sound starting playing and a message saying the launcher had a virus in it and continuing might harm my computer. I've checked some random pages in this thread and saw nothing about it, but it's a huge thread. Happened to anyone else?
