It is not up to us to decide whether or not they should play such maps, even if we don't like them (as in the maps, not the players) ourselves. The BGH community was preety significant in Brood War. As such, I don't see why they should get shafted in the sequel simply beacuse we don't enjoy playing BGH. | ||

What I do have a problem with, is when FMP start saying it takes skill. Obviously it takes skill, I mean you cant just sit and look at the computer, but low-money maps take SO MUCH more skill thats its really irrelevant. Whoever said take the top low money players and put them on FMP, and the top FMP players and put them on low money was right. The low money plays would do MUCH better in FMP than the FMP players would do on low-money. | ||

I played FPM when I wanted to relax, I think I was something like 95% win rate, but it isn't something to brag about, the same way you really shouldn't brag about being an awesome 0clutter no rush mm player, or being the best at curb stomping babies... Now please, stop trying to be an internet badass, think before you post, and actually put some effort into finding something before blathering on these forums about it. I mean would you ever 14 CC on Bloodbath? No right? It's way too risky of a strategy (unless your opponent is incredabad). Yeah VGT and FPM just looks pretty dumb at times to people who like to watch money maps, it does require some.....level......of skill. On a whole new note, I agree that SC2 FPM would be incredibly unentertaining and get boring rather quickly as mass selecting units and all those other macro mechanics would really make games pretty bad. | ||

Yes, skill transfer from sc1 to sc2 seems to be a one-way deal. Iccup is brutal. FPM takes some skill, but honestly it removes a lot of elements from the game, such expanding and defending expos, terrain based harrass etc. It also gets boring after a while (if you played nothing but blistering sands for 100+ games, you'd get pretty shit bored).
