Okay, I just got back from running, hope the hate's died down. I'm not bitter at Fantasy cheesing. If it were a plain 8 rax, or BBS, I would've been furious. However, he showed that it was a cleverly planned cheese. Honestly, if the ovie doesn't spot the rax, I don't see how any could beat that strategy on their first try. Bravo. Jaedong dropped the ball, unfortunately, but watching these games, I feel it's up to Fantasy to pull out more new strategies like tonight's or yesterday's tank hanbang because realistically, we all know how good Jaedong's play is in a Bo5, the variable is how good Fantasy's will be. + Show Spoiler +Fantasy you lame Cheeser!!:LRKL!K@:LFK Okay...a little frustrated.

FUCK YEAH T1!!
damn can't belive jaedong got hyuked, best lost a macro game, sick series from both teams.

What impressed me most about the fantasy cheese is that his build was insanely flexible. If he scouted an aggressive build he could easily have put down a depot to finish the wall. Sure he would have been behind, but he wouldn't have been forcing into a near-guaranteed fail all-in.

Yeah, I was thinking about what would've happened if JD went mass lings for the heck of it, but that wouldn't have worked with the extra 3 marines from the 2nd rax and Fantasy could just block with SCVs. The only weakness I see is if Jaedong scouted the 2nd rax but Fantasy is unaware of this, and the 2 sunkens get up just in time while Fantasy is going for his "all-in".
On the bright side, though PL won't start up for a long time, and All-Stars didn't have all stars, Oz is looking much better than at the end of the season.
Oh, and I think Fantasy's style of new strategies works very well against JD, but he'll have to run out eventually, right?

The thing is, so many things could've gone wrong with Fantasy's build. Had JD drone scouted (as he usually does) and seen that Fantasy's choke rax was really late or had his second ovie traveled just a LITTLE further up before changing directions, he would've scouted the center rax much earlier and had a greater chance of stopping it. Too bad.
Good job SKT.

Congratulation to SKT. They truly deserved it! Hope Hyuk gets to have a very nice meal for the game he put up! GG! See you next season! GOGOGO SKT!! =)

wow reallly weird to see Jaedong drop the ball on an important game like that. Especially in a ZvZ. Kinda sucks because that one game means they would have went to a super ace and they could have easily taken it.
Though, that does show how much OZ relies on Jaedong... and honestly, a team should not win the grand finals if they are basically one player.
Hopefully Jaedong does well in the individual leagues, he really deserves it. Looking forward to the games, I'm just glad Oz didnt get 4-0'd again.

Because of the great play of the rest of OZ. Everyone was like: "No way! SK will go 4-0!" When I saw JD vs Hyuk game I was sure that 4-0 was going to happen. Then there were those epic games by Backho and Lomo. I went like "Omgomgomgomgomg". Jaedong was 1 game away from redeeming his loss with Hyuk. If he had won with Fantasy, he would have faced Bisu for sure. Just imagine Bisu vs Jaedong Super Ace match! All the thrill, all the emotions. Everyone wondering: "Can JD pull his 2nd win after the humiliation by Hyuk?" or "Can Bisu stomp on JD so easily as in the 1st game?" The whole season coming down to a single clash of the titans. That would have been EPIC. Well, Fantasy being a great player as he is he went a brilliant cheese. FE, with some intentional loss of a marine or two near his wall. Cheese is not a forbidden strategy. All the pros are doing it (Bisu, Backho it this very match). Probably JD could have predicted the cheese (because of Bisu being next), but he could have also thought: "They probably want to make me tired, so hell go long exhausting macro game". Well, I feel bad because of this match. I wanted OZ to win (but my Liguid-bet was on SKT1 ). Epic match, could have been even more epic. Next season Oz with killer and perfectman will OWN SKT1 .
Maybe if CJ played SKT proleague would have been very epic.
I feel robbed by Oz.
Great job SKT<3

It's not that Oz is worthless without JD. It's that relying so heavily on him is asking for a disaster, he can't be perfect every night. People are right in saying there are some younger players with potential on Oz. Cho needs to give them more chances, and the former IS might very well become a strong all-around team.

Anyone know when the next PL season will start up? Seeing how SC2 is delayed until 2010, there should be at least a few more, right? Hopefully there's more WL and the Free Agency thing will actually have an impact.

As an Oz/JD fan, I have to say I'm a little disappointed by the outcome of this tournament. Jaedong must be beating himself up over it, but he shouldn't feel the least bit bad.
However, I think that this is a bittersweet ending for Oz fans in the end. Yes, Oz lost, but did you see what happened with Lomo vs. Best? Did you see Killer's beautiful zergling play that led him to win a crucial match? Did you watch Backho execute that early cheese (and almost lose his advantage when he didn't do much after it :/)? Furthermore, did you see how far Hiya pushed Fantasy in his game?
JD made a bad decision against Hyuk by going 12 hatch (he really didn't need an economic advantage like that .. it's Hyuk ffs), and he lost to Fantasy's great execution of the 2 rax opening, but for the first time I've ever seen, Jaedong was carried by his team tonight; it wasn't the other way around. I hope that this is a beginning of a shift from "Team Jaedong" to "Team Jaedong and Those Other Guys." Maybe I'm being too optimistic, though.
Jaedong is still the ace of Oz. Saying that he's in a slump is unfair at this point. He's had a couple of bad days of Starcraft, but I can guarantee that every single pro on the scene has had them.

WOOT! NICE JOB SKT!
They really deserved it!
And wow, how amazing. Just like the TLFE Tribal Colors predicted, the return of Boxer really saved the Team :D
