Poor Jaedong.

Super glad that SKT won. Fantasy really brought it to the table in the finals.

You know, I really thought Bisu would save the team

But I guess that torch is now carried by Fantasy :D

Honestly, I'm glad Fantasy ended up being the clutch player. While I am a Bisu fan, I just LOVE Fantasy. He is just brimming with creativity and he plays so differently from everyone else. Both in TvP and TvZ (I don't really watch TvT much so I don't have much to say on that). People used to bash him for just playing mech TvZ, but he has proven time and time again that he is far more flexible than that.

He really is the Neo-Emperor. I don't care if he never wins a Starleague title. He turned Terran from being that robotic mechanical race ("all terrans look the same on paper") to something with a lot of flexibility and a lot of options, much as Boxer did when he made the seemingly "weak" race seem dominant.

I also feel Fantasy is far more unpredictable than Bisu, and I feel the lack of predictability really shakes Jaedong up. I was hoping for a Fantasy vs. Jaedong ace and I am glad I got it ^^

Funny boys...

See JulyZerg vs. Best at EVER 2008.

Nobody called that a cheesy all in. Everybody admired Tushin for his brilliance and shaking Best up to take the series 3-0.

Plenty of BeSt fans called that a cheesy all in.

I would say that the majority consensus was that JulyZerg played the most brilliant psychological move ever, because he managed to take the series even after FAILING the cheese.

Though I guess it depends on how you perceive the majority.

First time poster, long time reader. Hi all!

First of all: Im a JD fan.

I was so much for JD in this game and I DO feel robbed by fantasy. Why? Because of the great play of the rest of OZ. Everyone was like: "No way! SK will go 4-0!" When I saw JD vs Hyuk game I was sure that 4-0 was going to happen. Then there were those epic games by Backho and Lomo. I went like "Omgomgomgomgomg".
Jaedong was 1 game away from redeeming his loss with Hyuk. If he had won with Fantasy, he would have faced Bisu for sure. Just imagine Bisu vs Jaedong Super Ace match! All the thrill, all the emotions. Everyone wondering: "Can JD pull his 2nd win after the humiliation by Hyuk?" or "Can Bisu stomp on JD so easily as in the 1st game?" The whole season coming down to a single clash of the titans.
That would have been EPIC.

Well, Fantasy being a great player as he is he went a brilliant cheese. FE, with some intentional loss of a marine or two near his wall. Cheese is not a forbidden strategy. All the pros are doing it (Bisu, Backho it this very match). Probably JD could have predicted the cheese (because of Bisu being next), but he could have also thought: "They probably want to make me tired, so hell go long exhausting macro game".

Well, I feel bad because of this match. I wanted OZ to win (but my Liguid-bet was on SKT1 ). Epic match, could have been even more epic. Next season Oz with killer and perfectman will OWN SKT1 .

Maybe if CJ played SKT proleague would have been very epic.

I feel robbed by Oz.

Great job SKT<3

Its your right to feel bad when your team is losing. Its not like CJ doesnt have a dominant player that abuse the "Ace" format of the proleague...

There were a lot of people who thought July was an "allining bastard who couldn't beat Best in a macro game" after games 1 and 2.

Just read Disciple's posts alone in that thread for pure gold. ;(

I can't believe JD lost to hyuk AND to cheese. This is definitely a solid, clean loss of JD oz. Oz finally steps up, but JD can't win it against Hyuk, or in the ace match? VERY VERY disappointing.

The only difference is the # of fanboys on each side. Since you're arguing against SKT, you automatically lose.

they are in Jon747's channel but not in the Day 1 thread.
Games are:
Flash/Much vs Yellow/go.go
Tossgirl vs Stork
Luxury/Nada vs Zero/Upmagic

They're on TLs acc too (and were uploaded there earlier I think :p )

To all JD/Oz fanboys saying that "FANTASY SO GAY, CHESSE WTF!"
Remember that Jaedong went 9 pool, but failed because fantasy caught him off guard with killing that overlord. Jaedong wasn't exactly playing standard either.

It's not that Oz is worthless without JD. It's that relying so heavily on him is asking for a disaster, he can't be perfect every night. People are right in saying there are some younger players with potential on Oz. Cho needs to give them more chances, and the former IS might very well become a strong all-around team.

Jaedong loses and Oz gets 3 other wins, delivering us Fantasy vs. Jaedong to win it all.

I'd say the format worked perfectly fine. We got a series of ace matches between the best players on each team, who should have a bigger impact on the series than the hyuks and hiyas. You would rather the games be settled by Movie vs. Juni instead of Effort vs Stork? You're out of your fucking mind.

Margin of victory for each day is irrelevant, and should be. It's the same as in any other sport.

If a team of pure snipers and no superstars made their way to the finals, you'd all still be bitching because your team lost.

They both cheesed, but crying about it is stupid. It's disappointing that we didn't get a 40 minute game, but they're all legit strats.

I really feel bad for Jaedong, kid must be so burnt out. The finals pretty much sucked, every other series before it was better. Congrats to SKT1 though.
