Ahhhh.... T.T
Stork, you coulda had it.
4 gas was running and you didn't need to take 6 sunkens of damage.
Ugh... so close to epic win.

They'd send Canata cause hes a fucking monster right now.

Not over fantasy. The only person Canata could replace in that lineup imo is Best.

Why the FUCK did Stork suicide all his units at Effort's nat? All he needed to do was continue to control air with Corsairs and take more expos. Eventually add reavers. Why..why..

Seriously I dont undestand that at all. He was in control of the game and then he pulled out Kwanro style suiciding his whole army.

Stork wasn't in control of anything when he suicided his army. Stork did that because it was his best play. Effort had just exploded with Ultralisks; if Stork didn't kill him at that moment, he was done.

Well, technically, the moment to attack was 30-45 seconds before 8 Ultralisks popped out, but it was still his best play. He was losing/had lost, and that was all he had.

Nope, not true. Stork just needed to defend his expos and eventually tear down the ultralisk herd, while denying extra expansions. He was doing well. Stork was definitely in control of air with his corsairs (kept making them too) and I have no idea why he did that. Just needed to start making reavers eventually.

Effort was constantly downsizing Stork's corsair & dragoon numbers

Not at all. Stork's unit combination sucked. You have no idea how fast ultraling RIPS APART a toss force unless there are lots of archons + high templar or reavers to back them up. Stork had none of those 3 (a few archons are hardly anything).

Stork saw a timing window to attack before the ultralisks would pop and tried to hit it. He missed by about 20 seconds.

Stork's midgame army composition was strong. It's only weak once Z gets hive as long as Z can keep up in macro, which is what Stork's sair harass was trying to prevent.

Did you guys notice how Stork made his 4th base at a mineral deposit instead of the place with 2 gas geysers? He could of mass archons with all that gas.

Definitely very unusual play from Stork. Goons???

sair-goon: possibly the worst unit combination against defiler + ultraling

Outsider is a tough map to PvZ on and obviously his opponent was ridiculous, but I think Stork played a pretty stupid game there (especially the bit where he decided to attack into Effort's nat)

By that point he realized he needed to do some economic damage otherwise he would get rolled by ultralisks. However if he wanted to do that he should have probably gone in much earlier. But I can see what he was thinking, go in kill some drone and get out before the ultras spawn. By that point in the game desperation had already set in for stork. Overall a good game coming from him though.

Why the hell did he go early mass goons is my question... Did it work in his other games or something? Aren't goons suppose to be supported by reavers? It was wierd play by stork. He didn't even have storms for christ sake.

I'm guessing he was trying to do something similar to Movie's goon build that is designed to beat 3hat muta-->5 hat hydra. However it seems in this case Effort was able to scout it and react appropriately.

Uh I do have an idea. He just started mixing in DTs/Archons and desperately needed to hold the center. Yes, trying to kill the Zerg before Ultrasliks is a good attempt, but he should have retreated immediately after seeing Ultralisks/Defilers there. Keep killing overlords and deny drops with Corsairs, while adding Reavers. His army was large enough to hold his expansions with cannon support. Instead he decided to suicide

Stork shouldn't have gone his goon crap, play FE and get faster gas. The early gateway play dont fare well against zerg who can micro and knows what is happening.

I don't remember watching a game where Effort goes 5hatch hydra.

People need to stop critisizing Stork's build choice and play.
Until his inexplicable 1a2a3a, Stork played pretty flawless after a poor start.

EffOrt was worried, make no mistake. He seemed a little stressed. But those ultras at the end, he got his ass in gear. It's amazing.
