not to take anything away from great stork play, but the map position was favorable

So what if he had good map position? It couldn't have made that much of a difference. He destroyed Bisu in almost every facet of the game. Harass? Check. Battle micro? Check. The guy played superb. The difference in the play of their games was just so staggering. The guy played on top of his game.

right battle micro. i guess if you have more units you have better battle micro right

Perhapes you didn't see the stork double storm that killed 6 goons or the superior reaver micro.

Face it, stork played BETTER THAT GAME.

Bisu fans scare me.

it's a snowball effect dude.

Stork played better. End of story.

I already said map positions had LITTLE to do with it but Stork executed flawlessly. Yea that means playing better.

Do you have a control experiment? No.

All 4 ACE match players lost their normal match

This was confusing...

ACE match = a match involving Air Force ACE
ace match = no sensical meaning
ace game = the Xth set in a BoX PL match

Oh shut up, you know exactly what he meant.

Jaedong and Skyhigh lost their matches and are now fighting. If you couldnt figure it out for real.

Course I could figure it out... just used it as an opportunity to rant on about a pet peeve...

I totally agree.

And read FA's post above, that's what I was getting at with my question before...

Uhm what's with the positions..? really..
Is it that the shuttles can just walk to bisu's base without having a hard time because of the ridge that blinds the pylons from seeing the oncoming shuttle?

Your rally point is generally to your nat, and if Bisu wants to harass Stork's main he has to take a REALLY long way round (while the nat, is obviously well defended by stork's main army).

Oh another thing to take into account is who gets to attack from the "right angle", but I haven't played PvP in so long that I've forgotten the good angles for reavers LOL!

Look at the layout of Shades of Twilight...from the top right position, you can put goons at your natural and defend from drops to both your nat and your main coming from the bottom right position. To drop the top right main from the bottom right, you have to go all the way around to the center of the map, and even then when you unload in the left of the top right main, you're not within striking distance of the mineral line.

Now compare that ordeal to dropping the bottom right main from the top right: you fly straight down, over your natural, over those ridges where your shuttle can't get shot at, and then unload right on top of the main mineral line.

Do you really underestimate what an advantage this is? Bisu has to guard two fronts (and 3 later on when he expos to 6) and the distance between the two is certainly longer than Stork's.

More reaction time is definitely a great advantage.

No, obviously it wouldn't be a snowball effect then, since that'd basically mean the snowball ran down a fucking cliff and collapsed

I'm not even saying Stork won just because of the positions, I'm saying he won the way he did in part because of it. IE it had an exaggerating effect on the game.

The first thing that came to my mind was that "hey, this is kinda like what IdrA was complaining about on Medusa TvT" (I forget when, maybe it was 3 player maps in general).

Its really lame, because once people's favorite player loses, they blame map imbalance and crap. God's garden is slightly tipped in terran's favor, 6 - 10, 37.5%. But that doesn't mean I blame the map for jangbi's loss. Jangbi could of done better against the vultures. Fantasy's harass was better than jangbi's. Yes, I am a khan toss fan and I can admit that my player was outplayed. Now I want to see other people stop blaming the fcking map imbalances. IF bisu was as good as people say he was, little harasses like that shouldn't of hurt him DAT MUCH. GET OVER IT GUYS, STORK PLAYED A BETTER GAME. and yes, the map favored stork a bit.

bisu won against jaedong in part by map advantage and lost to stork in part by positional disadvantage

I don't really see the problem
