And the amount of zvz lately isn't?

Agreed on map pool imbalance... but nvm it it'll fade away. Just the way the 6 dragons faded away.

ToTM is bad for protoss, but it's not 80%+ bad. Looking at the lineups there haven't been many what I consider upsets on a balanced maps. The zerg players on average have been stronger than the protoss players they've played in rated games on the map.

Yeah, I wouldn't say stork lost to the map, rather he was sloppy and lost alot of units to surrounds when he shouldn't have.

Actually, the map plays a huge part in it. On a normal map, Stork doesn't even have to take such risks. The map forces players to play a certain style.

So true. It reminds me of TvP on Medusa. And it reminds me that everyone whining about Tears had no complaints about Medusa.

69.6% = 85.7%(with a 13 game win streak for zerg) amiright.

Without Flash's wins the PvT percentage shoots up to 79.6% on Medusa. But that's still less than 85.7% and so it's not worth complaining about amirite. The win percentage on Tears would be higher for Protoss if one of them actually adapted to the map instead of crying about it.

Why would you count out Flash's wins? And yes adapting to not being able to FE putting them behind from the start is ez.

i'll check on this... this is another factor. No use complaining on map imbalance with such a small pool (of games, not spawning pool keke) to choose from if in fact the zerg were on the whole better.

There was PvZ before the fast expand and 9-10 mineral mains, and it wasn't 85-15.

Stork himself has made quite a number of mistakes.. He fell for jaedong's trap though..

Map imbalance is also a point.. ToTM aint that good with toss..

Hahaha, so true...

edit: I just noticed, there is/was only one Terran left in MSL and OSL semifinals combined. That's pretty sad. Even sadder is, that it's the second time in a row this happen in both starleagues. The funny part is the Terran is the same player...you have to give fantasy some props for this.

The point is that Medusa is also horrifically imbalanced in a matchup but that a player from the disadvantaged race can still make the map work for him if he understands the map will force a different orientation towards the game and plays based off those modified assumptions instead of complaining and wishing they could play like they normally would.
That's not awful writing, DAMMIT. It's perfectly sensical english construction.

Stork watches on, amused, by the amateurish tactics of his opponent. Looking down at his shirt, he notices his carrier pin - the mark of a true great. Understanding that it would be selfish to take up a spot in the semi-finals of the OSL from a relatively untested opponent for someone of such greatness as himself, he concedes the game and the match. What an impressive display of manliness by the Birdtoss.

well said, stork is so gracious today! normally he waits till the finals to display his manliness

I couldn't read while doing pseudo-LR, but why did Stork get his gas so late?

Gas wasn't late, was actually at the right time for his one gate tech. A few little micro errors put him back quite a bit early game, which eventually cost him the game.

Since when was a gas after second pylon when the gateway is almost complete a proper timing? Man, my PvZ BO knowledge must be really off. x.x

lol stop complaining about the map.
Lux had to play Fantasy on Chupung and nobody complained...

Zergs win about 35% on Chupung. Protosses on the other hand have won about 12% of their games on Tears. That's pretty fucking sad.

worth mentioning is the only reason chupung has gotten a higher zerg percentage win is cuz of JD..... no other zerg really pulled off wins on this map but him (i count 3 wins from him so far vT if i recall correct. One against Fantasy, one vs Hwasin and one vs Leta.

Chupung is bad for PvZ also but ToTM is the ultimate map ever, more so than medusa and plasma.

Stork done himself when he didn't play standard in chupung ryung. At least he has chance in midgame if JD initial lurker or muta don't do damage. The cheese was good but just the zealot was used wrongly, remember ever OSL 2007 game 2?

Hmmm.... Have you ever tried playing against a Protoss without being one yourself on Tiamat?

they should start helping Terran, they have not much luck since Oov and Boxer left. Its not easy to make an imba map for TvP though.

All the games (that I saw) were pretty one-sided, but I'd tentatively recommend hero v hwasin game 3, because hero looked very good in that game without hwasin looking abysmal. You shouldn't consider yourself missing out if you don't watch any of the games, though, to be honest.
