In the wake of one of the most anticipated Bo5's in years the TL Staff would like to remind you all about good posting habits in Live Report threads. Indeed, over the past few weeks the staff have noticed a severe deterioration in the quality of Live Report threads and from here on in 2 day bans will be issued freely by mods for poor posts in these threads.
Here are some examples from tonights Stars vs FoX match which will be ban worthy from now on.

Other things that will be ban worthy include
- PROTOSS IMBA (in caps or not)
- 1a2a3a jokes
- Moderate flaming/flame wars (to moderators discretion)
- Posting like a moron
- Anything a moderator deems bannable
- Posting simply "gg" before either player types out
To avoid being banned, simply think before you press post. Consider whether your post is adding anything to the discussion, making thread better in any way, and whether your post is respectful.
The moderators do not wish to kill the fun in the thread, so by all means, have a good time - but please be mindful of the quality of your posts.

EDIT: For clarity, these standards are ONLY applicable to Live Report threads. You can 1a2a3a all you like anywhere else. Well, maybe not in strategy unless you have a deathwish...

Good thing, LR threads are supposed to be more permissive about less content hype one liners but they dont have to degenerate into mass flaming progamers.

Only thing I guess I disagree with is the banning of protoss imba jokes, I think they are an important part of the development of brood war culture :p
Like during the Xellos, Nada, oov, Boxer era everyone was constantly whining "terran imba"
When savior reigned you had good and respected players on this board arguing that defilers were imba and needed a nerf.
I think it's kinda funny that it's protoss' "turn" so to speak.

Its gotten out of hand though, you can go to a thread in the general section with no relation to protoss or starcraft and suddenly someone bursts out with a "1a2a3a" joke.
Its obviously good if its in threads where the subject might be linked to the claims and its intelligent talking and not D level idiots trying to create excuses for losing.

wth is "moderate flaming"? I mean I agree on people mindlessly insulting should get banned, but a lil agitation is part of what makes progaming fun. FBH would agree with me. I mean when Savior beats FBH in an important bo5 or vice versa I would not like to miss the fanboys zynical comments. Its part of any sports and imo, the Starcraft fanboys are reaally mild, look at soccer fan songs or stuff..
