OversKy > FrOzean OversKy is probably the best player on ACE. while FrOzean's nickname is Cuteangel. OversKy should take this no problem supposing FrOzean doesn't doing any sort of crazy cheese. MuMyung < Juni We know MuMyung sucks, we haven't seen Juni play much, but I assume he can't be worse than MuMyung.
DaezanG < firebathero Despite the fact Bisu disgraced him in the MSL ro8, there is no doubt that FBH is one of the best TvPer's around(now that he has stopped sucking against protoss). As much as I like DZ, he can't cut it against the power of the crotch thrusting terran.
It's last season's champion versus last season's last place finisher, will this be ridiculously one sided or can ACE pull an upset? Boxer ceremony after the ace match...hmmhmm.
How to watch: -Daum Sports(low quality)Direct Link -Daum Media player, Guide -Yaoyuan, Guide -Possibly the VLC stream from Corinthos
On fbh - since when has there been "no doubt" that he is one of the best TvP players around? I seem to recall him playing well in his MSL group (a grand total of 2 games), then beating up on a young, inexperienced, and mediocre Protoss in the Ro16. Then he finally got his ass handed 0-3 to him by a real Protoss. How that does make him a top TvP player? Not saying DZ is going to win tonight, but come on, fbh hasn't miraculously turned into one of the best TvP players out there.
If Stork loses, it could be the biggest upset in starcraft history. Stork's best matchup is vT and he's not far from his ELO Peak (the highest Protoss ELO peak ever). Sunny hasn't played a promatch against a P in 3 years and is 1-9 in his last 10.
lol goons break sup due to badly sieged tank and lost some scvs in the process guess this is already gg... didnt see him win anyway but now its really impossible
sunny was down to 0 mining bases at the end, and he probably only had 20 gols total. When you build almost as many carriers as the other player builds gols...

Not trying to offend here, seriously.
She is the coach of last seasons pro league champs. Her nick is january. All of the coaches look like smug bastards, in nearly all sports.

actually, since ace gets lots of old players, you see a lot of old players come back to play for ace as awesome players. boxer and oversky being 2 examples, but also reach is going to be on the team as well.
daezang is as well if he plays well like a while ago~ hope he canfind that shape back... dont understand why ace doesnt just always play boxer oversky daezang anyway... then 4th slot for foru/mummy at least they might win sometimes then >.<

oversky is not rly an old player tho?? boxer was more awesome outside of ace and im i guess reach aint gonna be that much the bomb either -_- but im sure he'll be better than the rest oversky/boxer/daezang excluded

oversky's first league was in 2004. Just to give you an idea, flash was like 12 when oversky first played.
ok first games recorded of oversky in tlpd = 2k2 he is quite old.. never rly noticed him that much before ACE although i knew he was in cj but didnt know he was around that long... weird how he seems to be a good player now with little practise while being not very noticable for a long time

Being Boxer's practice partner for a year probably has improved his ZvT quite significantly.

Maybe when he gets out of the army in about eight months or so, Boxer will take him into SKT and fix their zerg issues.

maybe, but it's going to be a lot easier for skt to just pick up a better zerg. a lot of them are going into free agency after this season or something (i forgot in which thread i read that though)
Well, he's a very precise player, his builds and timings are really good. Aside from that, they're usually innovative and fun to watch, but his achilles heel has always been late game. If you notice, he usually tries to win early through midgame. I remember the game he won against nal_ra and it was a long game and he was having trouble macroing and struggled to keep up.

Zerg has Savior, Luxury, JulyZerg, GGplay, Calm, Yellow[Arnc], Saint, JiHyun, and Max
damn mumyung not on his A game today and throwing the game... well i have seen the thread, but i'd prefer an oversky over lux/fake yellow/rest of the crappy zergs anytime iguess jeadong/july/savior might be the only ones close to par but they are the only ones that come close >.<

free agent zergs for t1:
jaedong: not on FA list savior: on FA list and promised he will destroy everyone in 2009 july: slump/inconsistent lux: im not sure KTF would let him go, they just signed him Yarnc: Most possible Z to be bought by t1
unfortunately i see daezang as a player with good early game pvt and firebathero isnt bad early game.. so his advantage of firebathero's pvt being not that great is not rly there i guess >.<; ah well daezang playing well can win any game i guess so go daezang~
damn just when i see daezang i already think damn that man is gonna bring is some quality ownage... fkn talented too hope boxer can bring him and oversky with him to T1 and get rdy to own some shit.. and maybe get clon back too and mummy can be their mascott that would be awesome >.<
And yeah, Oversky is good. He is easily the best player on ACE, including better than boxer. There is really no other player on that team that has been winning as consistently as Oversky.
reaver in shuttle moves out - no turrets around FBH attacks reaver with scvs dumb ass loses about 8 or some ungodly number from one scarab but dz fails at walling off his expo with pylons and vulture bikes take out a decent number of probes
dz going into fbhs expo and a dmatrix vulture cant save the expo more vults come tho looks like the expo will live for the moment as tanks arrive and seige up
FBH seiging up outside his 4th, looks like he has a 5th now as well.
DZ continuously attacking while FBH is out of position and getting kills. He is playing pretty well imo. This games still seems very much up in the air.
<3 Oversky. This guy is the only one in ACE to deliver. Btw, if I were ACE coach I would have my terran players train for some BO in RAII, because it is clear Mumyung sucks, and Oversky is too valuable to waste him in ZvZ.
Still. ZvZ is too much of a gamble to risk your best player in such a MU. Let's put it this way. Oversky has chances in both vs Sair and vs Juni.
- Let's say he has equal chances in both, since Sair is a tougher adversary than Juni, but ZvZ's variance levels the thing.
- Mumyung has virtually 0% chance vs both Sair and Juni, but since ZvZ sometimes turns into a little bit of a gamble, especially when both zergs aren't that great, he ends up with a 10% chance of winning.
Conclusion
- You have 2 zergs. One is pretty decent, the other sucks. One has a fair chance of winning in any given match. The other doesn't. However, once in a blue moon, the villain might get lucky and get to win in ZvZ. You give him the ZvZ in order to improve from 0% chances to a very slight remote very long shot chance.
This is PL. It's not about giving Oversky the best mu possible for him, but to get 3 wins. So the scenario displays like this.
1)Oversky in ZvZ. He might win. He might lose. Mumying will lose 100 games out of 100. 2)Oversky not in RAII. He might win, he might lose. Mumyung will lose 90 games out of 100.
Option 2 is closer to winning, since you just need Daezang or Boxer to step up.

For a second I read RAII as "(command and conquer) red alert 2" and thought "wow! that's HARSH!" (like you meant they shouldn't even be playing starcraft)... but yeah, Raid Assault.

And there is the problem with your statement. The part of the team that is not named Oversky (or Boxer/foru who are 3-4) are 1-18. Yeah. Ouch. Oversky is 5-2, but when the rest of the team sucks that hardcore, you can't do a damn thing about it.

I don't know the reason, but usually one of their supposedly good 3's is always left in the bench, let it be Boxer, Oversky or Daezang. If it were me, they would be starting every week, but I guess Air Force training issues.
Anyways. You need 3 wins, right? - Slot 1. Oversky. He could be both used for the ZvZ or other mu. - Slot 2. Boxer or DZ. Lately they have been doing kind of bad, but still everyone has hopes that they will deliver from time to time. The day one of these two wins, you are just one step far from victory. - Slot 3. The rest of the team sucks. Sunny, foru, mumyung, rage... It's basically auto-lose. But if they send mumyung on the zvz, well, because of the mu characteristics, mumyung could get lucky as hell and bring home a win. In the case Oversky did his thing and Boxer or DZ delivered, well, there you have it. In case you decide to burn oversky on ZvZ, then you have the scrub guys facing a sure defeat.
I guess if Boxer and DZ would play every week with Oversky we won't be discussing this, but the fact is that the coach likes to give play time to scrubs over the only players likely to win.
