Very nice summary. This thread should take some of the overwhelming amount of info factor out of getting into the Korean Pro-Scene.

GomTV is now KeSPA sanctioned, OP update this please:

GOM TV also host their own individual league called the GOM TV Classic which runs independently from the OSL and MSL. At the moment, this tournament is not officially sanctioned by KeSPA.

I want to ask how teams pick the lineup during proleague. Is it like Dota? The coin draw, then chooses who pick first for first game and 2nd game and so on?

Thx.

Basically, each round of proleauge has a predetermined set of maps. Before the start of each proleauge week the coaches of each team submit 4 players to play vs their opponents, and simply say which map those players will be playing on.

There are only very few gameplay rules; the really only ban bugs/exploits like stacked workers using a geyser (which allows them to stack and attack while still stacked). Disruption webs are often used because its a lategame spell which rarely pays off in terms of the cost required. However if you watch some of the longer Sair/Reaver games which transition into Sair/Carrier you'll more than likely see dweb being used

So if both teams send their player names to the officials at the same time, they won't know who are they playing against? Until published? or 1 team gets to send in theirs first then follow by the other team? (Grudge/Showcase matches)

Neither team knows what line has been sent in by the other team. The lineups are released on the Thursday of the new proleague week, and then the teams find out their opponents.

Hey guys, I noticed this:

"The TeamLiquid Programing Database, or TLPD, is a unique resource in the world of StarCraft."

You might want to fix it . It's under the "Other Resources" section.
Super serious.

question: how much of the OSL/MSL/GOM tournament winnings does a progamer get to keep? i'm assuming players have to give a big chunk of the money to the team.
