Chaos Darkness is so weird, it really screws up build order concepts. It feels like on all the maps that I"ve played on, there are a LOT of resources. and here are the reps: [url blocked] [url blocked] [url blocked]

And I wasn't saying that Chaos Darkness was bad, its just such a large change from the norm that it'd be hard to get people to consistently play games on it. And there are some bugs, like in the game I played Chill, one of my scvs had vision on a mineral across the map, and i just right clicked on the mineral with an scv at home, and the scv just cut a straight path and floated over all terrain to get to that mineral. One of my scvs got lost like 5 inches to the right of my CC somewhere in the game, and I was never able to recover him =[. Oh, and whoever made Backdooru, what's the point of the small mins on the cliffs around the two middle expos? if it's to stop siege tanks from shelling the gas, it doesn't do it.

I won't disagree with you, and the concept is largely untested so I don't know just how serious bugs get. It's designed for weird games that take away any sense of StarCraft you once knew. All the hotkeys and micro is the same, but the strategy is a whole new game. Obviously that's not going to be of interest to many players, but that's just following my philosophy of mapping. You don't have to agree with it ![]() As far as the 'bugs' you mentioned go... it's a bit like calling unit pathing getting stuck in peaks, or getting silly at the mineral walls in blue storm, or getting your SCV stuck between buildings on any map. They're things that IMO, once you accept as part of the game, seem much less like bugs, and more just StarCraft truths :O That mineral hopping thing sounds like it could be exploited... I know that it can go some distance, but I never found out exactly how far. But there's definitely a limit, because experiments with a null terrain island map have been done, and show that eventually a drone will bug out over water if you try to go too far. Anyway, for your complaints, I tried to cover them in the mission briefing, but I guess you played the melee version. Mission brief: READ IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW NULL TERRAIN WORKS: -Units CAN walk off of null terrain -Units CAN'T walk onto null terrain -Units CAN be dropped onto null terrain -Hatcheries are the ONLY building that can be built on null terrain -You MUST spam click a peon to go right next to the gas geyser to build an extractor -Transfer peons from null terrain to nearby expos first, or they might bug out -If peons do bug out, select them with another type of unit and spam STOP Other notes: -8 patches of 500 minerals each at the main run out quick, but get you started fast -Bridges have a wall of DTs -One of the chokes has a creep colony (for fast pool Zerg builds) Mission Objectives: -You MUST spam click a peon to go right next to the gas geyser to build an extractor -Units CAN walk off of null terrain -Units CAN'T walk onto null terrain -Units CAN be dropped onto null terrain I'll watch your replay with Chill now though ![]() Cheers,
