because map can be mined by vultures at that stage of the game. So after chasing the 1st vulture and after mine upgrade finishes, protoss waits for an obs. Even if in this specific game there weren't any mines, there could have been.
jinjins videos of this group must be gold, atm both flash and jd are doing live analysis of the games from the group, i bet there is very interesting stuff said, also interested how the likes of soma, light, soulkey, snow etc commented on the games and btw there is some behind the stages videos from piano(?) i think that are on youtube - also interesting gogo jinjin you can do it
If JD maintains this form, i have a hard time imagining anyone else claiming the title. He looked as invincible today as Soulkey did in his best series during his 4 seasons of terror!
Flash definitely isn't autolocked for the victory as long as soma, Snow and JD stay sharp!
Disappointing showing from Bisu though, especially vs Flash he looked way under par. He would have failed to move on to the round of 8 versus players worse than Flash and JD too with this level of play.
Ample was selling himself pretty well on the other habd, but in the end you just don't beat Flash in TvT.
i also don't get the extreme pessimism here, like did people not watch flash vs jd and just look at group results and then assume jd cheesed flash when they say that flash obviously will be uncontested?
So yeah, this basically confirms it, that there's no principle for Protoss to defend this kind of cheese on this map, unless we're talking about blind guessing + getting lucky, or preemptively build cannons at all locations to cover all scenarios.
In the week before this Ro16, Bisu both died to 1H Muta from Soma and 1H Lurker from Queen. You can also see in the game vs Queen he preemptively built 2 cannons in the main, but guessed wrong and died. You'd think the best human being on earth at PvZ (plus his colleagues) would be able to think of a way to methodically stop it rather than "just send out a second probe" - something a noob compared to them would be able to come up with.
Also it's quite clear from the replay that the first Overlord watches everything that comes out of Protoss ramp, so it's not like a second probe can secretly go out on the map (unless we're talking about sending it out in the first 2 mins lol).

yeah this map is messed up for PvZ lol. if Zerg plays standard its protoss favored, but if Zerg blocks ramp with overlord and flips coins this map becomes heavily zerg favored. IMO protoss needs to flip coins on this map in response, 1base cheese builds, proxy 2gate at 12 or 6 avoiding overlord path, ect
Jaedong actually cooked holy lol I gotta love Jaedong's "i dont care who i face" confidence. Also he cooked Bisu without hydra busts ! actual W zerg macro
It was actually only the last game that was crap play from Bisu but the rest of the games even one-sided was like flawless gameplay.
Jaedong actually beating Flash very convincingly. Flash beating Ample and Bisu was expected.

Oh yeah he looked so locked in but i'm nervous cause jaedong always has that group stages godtier look then fumble on the playoffs.
Flash also going " I hope jaedong makes to the finals cause I wanna play him again" oh man if it happens. Flash is also going championship mindset going "I wanna meet the contenders in the playoffs" which is what we need more. There has been alot of not wanting to play the championship players like Flash and JD seems to be doing again now

More like Flash cheesed JD like x3 in a single game with 14cc, quick 2-2 and third cc, while JD window of win was like 10 seconds that he saw perfectly without even scouting for it. Due to the fog of war, it is harder to react than to act in this game.
If Flash would have won, I would not be at all impressed by his win, while JD dismantled Flash tesagi BS perfectly there.
