You could also argue that tennis should start using weird courts so that the matches might become "even more interesting", I guess or you can complain about orofessional integrity and how that's just insulting to professionals to introduce it, but I think people shouldn't be stuck up. But he's doing well. He's favourite in the semis. "Quite unlikely" doesn't really apply. If it will be pvp, he has at least 50% chance, even against Bisu whose godly almost-Rain-like pvp dropped a lot. vs Larva and Soma he is not a favourite, but with a few build order advantages... SnOw is favorite vs all but SoMa, based on statistics.

how did you conclude that it's "quite unlikely" for someone who just made the round of 4, widely considered as one of the top 2 favorites, to win the tournament? like i'm actually confused, is this just emotional hedging or what

Ah, I see what Snow did here. Tricking Barracks into thinking he can beat him, while playing at 50% power in practice and saving his builds for the semifinal.
i was really surprised he said this, is snow not an unbeatable PvT god anymore? or is barracks just the unique snow killer to have a winning record against him? i feel like i would've heard about the latter. i know barracks edged out their SCSL series but i thought that was an aberration.

Soma is Snow's arch nemesis, he's got his number. If Soma enters the finals, that's gonna be a hell of an uphill battle for Snow. I think only Bisu can realistically stop Soma, because Best most likely can't do it and Larva is quite out of shape. So if Bisu advances he'll likely face Soma, which strongly favors Soma especially in a bo7. In the less likely event that Bisu enters the finals, Snow will be a significant favorite.
I'm one of the biggest fans of Snow, but I can call a spade a spade. It mostly hinges on Soma. Snow right now is praying for him to get knocked out.

Snow probably just wants to create hype. It's a good trick for viewership xd

I mean barracks DID beat snow in the SCSL last year. But that was a low-stakes online event, not nearly the same. It shows he's at least capable of taking off a few games from snow though.

The best will find a way to adapt. Maps are still being evolved, like the eggs blocking the natural-main ramps, and now mineral patches. Now Knock Out may be introducing a new feature that could gain traction. The game will continue to evolve, and map makers and players will continue to figure out how to best make changes to the game to keep it fresh, exciting, and adaptable. I do hope Roaring Currents and maps like it will get more play too, they add a lot of nuance and creativity that I think has sort of bogged down standard play recently.

liquidbet in tatters but I'm happy. Snow played kinda bad in g1 and almost threw the game on Lithmus but overall he played excellent.
