He's got the game knowledge, probably as deep as anyone in the scene bar Nyoken (once again, sorry Xun but Nyoken is the goat BW caster). And at the same time he's also a great play by play commentator. The way he ups his tempo when there are actions on the map is quite satisfying. And he's also got his own style of talking and making jokes. Try right-clicking the stream and then press "Show all controls". That should allow you to turn the sound on. At least it works for the VODs.

That's not what I meant. They dont have the ingame sound because of their feed. Not that I can't hear the casters.

Neither the seige nor the unseiged versions are called that AFAIK. I think the siege tank itself, as in the name of the model, is named an Arclite siege tank. Not sure what the source is tbh (some stories from outside the games, I think?) but it's something I've seen around.

It's like when you get served an expensive drink at a restaurant but it's like 70% ice and you're like ????!!!!!><. But with Brood War there's no ice. And the drink doesn't even have antifreeze in it. Just 30 years of a jacuzzi jetstream right into your ******.

I used to read the in game weapon names (I think this starcraft.fandom.com has ones I remember). I guess I never read the same BG material. Is the Arclite supposed to be the name of the attack or the model of the tank? I think that's a distinction I might have gotten confused by. Also also I want to reiterate this is totally a minuscule thing that does not detract from my enjoyment of the casts at all. Thank you to all that are teaching me here.

In the final match he apparently threw some cold water on his face or something because he ripped True's arms off and did a little drum solo, but man, you really can't afford to underestimate anyone in the ro24 these days, especially in a bo1. Meanwhile, Barracks doing Baraka fatalities on everyone without breaking a sweat. This dude is on a mission from God. I don't think it's laziness but their mindset/game plan. Nobody has ever remade a Dark Archon in 25 years of pro BW. That kind of habit sits deep, haha.

Use the PiP (picture in picture?) function to pop it into an extra window. There you can adjust the volume normally. At least that's how it works for me. All controls are disabled in the normal stream window for me, I can't even see the timeline... Alternatively, you can watch it on youtube:

Sometimes viewers look at the game in hindsight and question the players why you not do this and that, are you stupid etc. But to me there is no way the average B/C rank players can think of something but progamers can't. They think about it but decide it is probably not worth it, but they don't have the benefits of hindsight like us to make the correct call. In this case, Best's DA got sniped at 12:50. To make 2 DTs and merge into an Archon and wait for 100 mana, it takes 95s, which means his next Archon would have been on the field around 14:30 in the game, and that's assuming he cancelled something in the Gateways to make the DTs immediately. By that time the next battles already happened and a total of 6 HTs were already sniped. Damage was already done. And on top of that the Protoss can't know if Zerg would keep doubling down on Mutas or not, or he would go full Hydraman or Lurkers (normally it is the latter case), so he has to choose between spending gas for an Archon that you can only use 95s later, or having more storms 35s later to deal with Hydra/Lurkers.

I'm also projecting what I want to see as a viewer. It'd be nice to see someone explore dark archons more and so far Best is at the forefront. I get the reasons not to make one, but I've been won over. On paper, it's busted. When executed, it also seems busted. Am I talking out of my ass? Absolutely. I'm an idiot on the forums, what else would I do. Watching the games and complimenting the players is so passé. Criticizing things you don't know about is in like Flynn, baby.

Zerg is losing their upperhand and protoss is gaining it during this time frame. It is more important to make HT + Goon and maintain movement for positional superiority than it is to make a DA. The players min-max in their attempt to keep the HT alive without having to build a DT. If they succeed it gets them a bigger payoff then making a DA would.
