At least Bisu made DT's work against Sacsri but I guess it's no surprise that DT/Sair works for Bisu in PvZ.

Jokes aside, they're progamers, they probably practiced it before and saw it work. Just not again the best and second best Terran in the world.

Yesterday, I thought the build was cool. But thinking more, does it really work? Terrans see lack of goons and delayed goon range. What else could Protoss be up to - fast triple nexus? Build seems so easy to sniff out and countered.

(Maybe it could work with really close spawns or proxy second gate)

I'm not too impressed by it either but yesterday it was so close to working - Light's clutch control won him that game for sure.

Yes! So happy Rush made it. Really wanted Shuttle to make it, as well. Action is an excellent player though, and I feel he's underperformed in the ASL many times - I'd say he deserves a ro8 by now so I'm not unhappy that he qualified. Hopefully JD makes ro8, too. That would be great for not only Jaedong, but for overall viewership and the ASL in general.

Such a risky build from Shuttle in that last game.

Perhaps it's not such a great long game map for P which is why they're trying these riskier builds?

Snow in extra shambles after watching this one.

From my recollection, mini's build was slightly safer (expo started earlier, and he managed to transition to mid-game being slightly behind in supply and tech by TvP standards).

Shuttle's DT opening was just an all-in. Might as well proxy a second gate (or a robo for shuttle to elevator the DTs).

Overall, good thing Rush advanced instead. I have a soft spot for Toss, but I never fancied Shuttle - too gimmicky, not solid enough. Maybe he's a nice guy and all. I just don't get why people take a 'shine' on him (Yes, pun intended. To me, Shuttle is a Toss version of Shine).

What did Snow say on stream?

Did not enjoy today's games, Winners G1 was probably the best of them but it was still plagued with Vessels dying needlessly to Spores...

Did enjoy ggaemo killing his glitched drone, such a strange bug to see in pro games.

In Lights post game analysis he claimed if he didn't defend the first two dt's so easily (esp. the turret near cc not dying), dt's number 4 and 6 would have finished him off. Build wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.

The DT flood sounds scary if Terran relied on mines/scans instead of turrets, or if there's no turret cover for the bunker.

Once Terran gets a turret up at the expo, the build is countered. Pulling SCVs to protect the turret is the natural thing to do. So yes, deflecting the first 2DTs is absolutely critical and decides the game.

What surprised me, however, is mini managing to brute force the DTs to run by into the main of Light (maybe Terran needs to block ramp or build turrets in main). That got some damage done (few kills and wasted mining time). Not enough to make the DT investment cost effective, but still got some slight compensation to allow mini to transition into mid-game (though still way behind).

Shuttle just couldn't get anything done with the DTs. Total epic fail. The cross-spawn distance may be a factor. But that's exactly why the build was a poor decision from the start.
