The attack was "failed" because Rain was busy with that scarab when he saw bunch of probes coming back to the main.

That's what I get for watching the VODs and skipping the parts between games. 8]

It's not RNG, scarabs simply fail if they take too long before they blow up. This is why pros will grab all their probes and run them away, despite the fact that it groups them up and creates those moments that look like they're all going to blow up. So long as the scarab takes too long to reach them, it will dud. There's still some "randomness" in whether the scarab gets stuck on buildings, etc, but that as well could be theoretically played around by someone with a good understanding for how they tend to move. Probably matters a lot which probe is targetted too, because I imagine a scarab can get stuck on the "back" probe while trying to reach a "middle" probe in the train. Artosis seems to have finally picked up on this after years of casting haha, he mentioned it in the casting for these games, whereas previously it's always been "oh my god oh my god will it will it... oh no, dud scarab!".

True, Artosis isn't losing his shit as before. I remember my ears exploded by Tastosis on ASL1 finals when Shuttle was wrecking Sharp's main and natural. Also, BeSt is unlickiest player with glitches working against him. On ASL7 ro16 decider match vs. Mind, terran planted mines to his main, BeSt got obs but his goons glitched and triggered mines, he lost almost all probes thus got eliminated. This all series he was unlucky with his 2 gate center proxy because Rain glitched out contained goon perfectly. Then on his first game vs. SnOw his probes got stuck behind assimilator, what was that, 7-8 probes that were dancing?

It seems that he just doesnt have what it takes to step up to the next (and last) level. He just cant. - Doesnt scout the bottom of the map with a probe in 2nd game against snow is non sense. BUT AT LEAST HE DID SCOUTED SNOW'S MAIN WITH 2 FULL SHUTTLES. my god, its frustrating to root for this guy.

I knew he was going to the military but people were saying he could delay until end of asl. Is this information confirmed? How will they replace his spot if he advances? I think they said the 3rd place finishers from the ro16 will play for SK's spot (assuming he advances).

Tastelss rightfully states BeSt is in the lead -> then he needlessly loses his reaver and shuttle -> Rain jumps ahead in army supply. BeSt just needed defend while building workers and take his natural gas. vs Snow: It's actually odd that BeSt let the ninja expo work in Game 2. Between games it is not uncommon to quickly fast forward through the previous game rep just to see if you missed something. I'm not sure if these days ASL doesn't allow it or if there simply isn't enough time between games, but this is definitely something he should have done.

Then on his first game vs. SnOw his probes got stuck behind assimilator, what was that, 7-8 probes that were dancing? Most of those glitches are not "luck". With the gas glitch Artosis even mentioned, that even though BeSt must have played hundreds of practice games on this map, he decided to change his robo position to one where it glitches. Notice how Protosses always make their walls the same way? It's because that way they are sure which units will fit, and how their probes will drill and connect with run-by zerglings, for example. The same happens with every other building position. BeSt didn't practice that, or decided to put his robot in another position in that game. vs Rain, it's mostly not luck. Rain positioned his probes to drill through his goon. If you overlap units like this, you will eventually get it out (you can try it yourself with goons and probes, but with other units as well, drill-through, stop and click the unit away). Rain could have actually glitched the goon out faster than he did. After glitching the first one out, Rain positioned I think 2? probes in the lower right position of the gate, so the goon would spawn outside of the pylon prision. vs Scarabs, yeah, there's some luck involved, but you will notice how reavers will glitch out less for certain players, cause they know what firing angles work better; or decide to take additional risks, like not landing reavers behind mineral lines, which tend to glitch out more.
