Yes, she probably has more knowledge than tasteless2.019. But guess what? Hes got enough knowledge to not be clueless, he is funny and comfortable as a caster, and is dynamic. So is Artosis who actually still play the game. Rapid has got better, not annoying anymore, but this is it. In other words, ASL without Tastosis is in korean for me.

then you have to think for a moment, out of all the bw players and casters who live in seoul when artosis, tasteless, rapid are unavailable you can just about count them on one finger. so who is your ideal choice in that situation? you complain a lot but i dont think you take the time to think who are english speaking bw casters living in seoul^^

Casting can be improved on and tasteless and artosis have improved tremendously but how many years have they been on this.... Constructive critizim looks good hope they don't take it too hard and improve. Biggest issue that can be fixed for me is the ingame to music to commentary volume: Ingame should be highest, commentary second, and last should be music volume. Its pretty messed up alot of times!

Rapid has got better, not annoying anymore, but this is it. In other words, ASL without Tastosis is in korean for me. You do realize that Tasteless and Artosis have like 15 additional years experience casting, right? OF COURSE THEYRE FUCKING BETTER. It's the first time (to my knowledge) that Cadenzie has ever casted something this big, and noregret is obviously fairly new to casting as well. Casting is not easy to get into, and there's a lot of nuance involved in it that can only be built up with experience. I don't know what you were expecting, dude. Also, it's super rude to comment like this here when you know Cadenzie will read this. Offer up some positive criticism, don't just bash them. Cadenzie is definitely doing better than her first cast and starting to open up a lot more and let her personality shine. I'd say she still has a lot of work to do in terms of enunciation and tone. She often tends to go a bit monotone, so I think a focus on trying to vary her tone between excitement, analysis, curiosity, etc would go a long way into making her a more "interesting" caster to listen to. The drone also tends to contribute to mumbling. Fix the monotone, everything else improves ![]() For NoRegret, honestly it just seems like a lot of pacing issues. You really gotta let your co-caster know when you're done saying something and be obvious about it. Try to keep your thoughts in bite-sized chunks and come to a very clear stopping point so you can pass the baton over to your co-caster. Try not to speak over people unless it's related to the action onscreen. I know a lot of people are slamming NoRegret for "not knowing much about BW", but I think he was also in this case trying to defer to Cadenzie for the analysis much like Creighton was doing. If you've got a pro player sitting at your desk, you gotta give them the analysis mic. That said, I think there's a middle ground between looking like someone who's never seen the game before and trying to analyze over the pro player (lul), and it's a difficult sweet spot to hit. Cheers guys, keep working on the cast, and I'm glad we have someone to take over for Tastetosis occasionally. (I secretly wish I could be out there doing it and getting blasted on TL about how shitty my voice is to listen to. You guys are living the dream right now).

Like, I'm a teacher. Last year there were a couple times where I had to step in and replace someone teaching a subject I didn't know to a group of pupils I hardly knew and with only 5 minutes to prepare. Those classes had one thing in common - I sucked at teaching the subject matter I was supposed to teach. :p But I'm pretty happy that there wasn't some message board where the kids would go together and post about what a crappy teacher I am based on those classes. Basically; I'm just really happy we have an english cast. I think Artosis+cadenzie has been amazing, obviously tastosis has a dynamic others can't really replicate, and when it's been cadenzie+some noob it's been less good. But even then I much prefer it to having no english cast at all - people can just mute or watch the korean one if they're too annoyed by a sc2 player trying to make sense of things.

I was so weirded out by that too. When I first heard Hungarian words during the ad break I was thinking wow does YT do some magic on-the-fly localised advertising now or what? It's a mediocre looking thriller you can find the link here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6190456/ I can only think it got distributed there b/c audiences like the raw, gritty cop movies which this seems to be a copy of.

NoRegret on the other hand is rude, arrogant and lacks basic BW knowledge. lots of great TvTs I'm starting to really like multiverse Sharp is a trooper A couple BW fans continue to be way too negative for such a small community and act like their bitching in these threads will somehow change anything for the better. ASL cares SO LITTLE about the foreign community, we're SO lucky to get an english cast at all and it's totally free. This community is like 1/10 the size it used to be. Try to be positive and make it better for everyone or just don't participate at all, jeez.

Noregret is probably just a guy who is there and didn't say no when asked. But its his job to at least know something about the game he casts right? Or atleast about the players, the maps... anything... I thought he would improve too but he sticks to "im just a sc2-caster" and doesn't rly seem to care.

It was a mess compared to now lol.Unless im mistaken, Tastosis arent casting because they live in Korea, theyre casting because theyre good at it. They moved to Korea for that particular reason, i get it. But now on, they arent giving interviews with the players nor do they interact with the scene at all. Theyre just casting what Shine (or whoever is obsing those ASL games) is showing on the screen. I mean, why cant anyone outside Korea cant cast over a Korean stream? From what i understand, all you need is bw knowledge, some funny statements, being dynamic and wearing a tie. cadenzie does need more confidence when she speaks though, and I have a feeling shes one of those people who even in a one on one context speaks relatively quietly. A mumbler. Have more confidence girl!

To the viewers: give her and others a chance. You can't expect people to substitute for Tastosis and fill those shoes right away. Constructive criticism goes a long way to helping them and ultimately providing better casts. To the casters: prepare in advance if you aren't already doing so. make sure you understand the issues on the maps that will be played, particularly wrt races playing that day. Knowing upgrades is also important. Cadenzie had to explain the tank upgrades at one point as to why one side effectively had 1/2 the tank capability. To the audience is normal, but explaining to the other caster... need to know that.
