I'm so glad to see a game go to 30 minutes rather than 5-10 minute rushes.

I prefer a well executed rush than a sloppy macro game.

Yeah, the hydra push delayed the 3rd too long and then hero could afford to lose a fair chunk of army to snipe the templars and end it with the next wave.

Still, great game by effOrt. For a second there, it looked like Light might actually be able to break the 11, but effOrt stayed on top of his macro and got just enough units to fend off the attack and stabilize. I think the other key moment was effOrt picking off that group of mnm in the middle of the map; because of that, Light had to remake a lot of units, put up bunkers, and delay his drops.

Unless Terran players start cutting for quicker drops, I think we're going to see a return to 3rax/fact again since it's a bit more flexible. Yeah, Effort's spire was really late but just in time for the dropship. Last usually follows up with 2 star which forces the 5rax marines into the zergs bases, Light kinda tried to brute force his way (which made sense since Effort wasted all his lurkers just before defiler, ah Effort) On May 18 2017 20:08 EsportsJohn wrote: Good game from herO. The main two options after the original hydra wave are: aggressive 3 base play (usually with muta switch to snipe templars), or 4 base hive transition. Rain prepared for the 1st option (adding sairs and delaying 3rd a lot), while Hero went for the 2nd. Had the sairs scouted bottom left , then Rain could have changed his strategy and put up a fight.

So much knowledge! thank you guys! I believe Rain backing while throwing storms was really good, sadly HT energy doesn't last much. Also I think the shuttle at first could have passed the hydras and kill some drones, those drops need to be done. Overall Hero's game was solid.
