Day 2 (Last Day!) - Games 2 and 3 for All Quarterfinals
Thanks! I was really worried they would do something stupid as that because there is a third day noted in the calender (even though it's already noted as finished).
For it to be a true kwanroll he has to go undefeated (like his all kill in WL). Let's hope he does throughout the tournament and the we can officially rename this to KRSL.
wow, just tuned in halfway through this game, but wow! Great game! Those ultras! :o Not sure I saw a single on die! And I expected him to turn around with the OLs in the big drop, but nope! gg wp!

bisu?
Everyone thought so but Mind completly rolled him in g1. Mind also was a favourite but then he got rolled in SSL. I don't think we have a "save" bet atm.

i shall arbitrarily root for zero then
haha, yeah
I'm personally hoping for a zero final vs either bisu or mind. I really like bisu but his PvZ isn't really what it was back in the day and I feel like a ZvT would be better.

No srsly, flash showed how powerful late game mech can be (I mean for the zergs that managed to get him there). In this game (mong vs zero) mong did not play bad but he did play worse than what he needed to beat zero. Especially when that last drop happened, mong's units weren't positioned very well: rather open, one clump, no depth, not a lot of turrets/mines.

I agree. But I think the key role was that the goliaths did stand in the back and thus did not deal the needed amount of damage. If they'd started to shoot earlier, it would have been much easier to defend for Mong. In the end, he would have lost anyways probably, but unit positioning is key in defensive positions mech-wise, imho.

Bisu should have expected a cheese. After all he is 0-1 down and its a new day. I think I would have cheesed, too, in Mind's position. Even if his cheese fails, he is still up psychology wise in the third game, since Bisu could not be sure that another cheese is not coming.

Yep, not saying he didn't, just summarizing the game

what bullshit Zero vs Mong more than made up for it.
Mind played like against no opponent in both games. Bisu is really bad, the recently inactive Jangbi did 10 times better job than number one sospa rank player. Bisu shape is going downward and he knew it since SSL 9, thats why he didnt participate in any tournaments.

Really bad? Didn't see game 1 but game 2 was a bo win, how can you even take it into account?
I've been watching his stream a bit and he looked a bit better a couple weeks/months ago but still easily top tier. His PvT is definitely his worst matchup anyway.

Rofl. Mind is one of the best players in the scene. His only loses come from top PvTer Free. In game 1 he picked a powerful timing on a very new map. Yes Bisu is less practiced, but you can hardly make such harsh statements. He's retired and planning for the army. His skill is not in decline, his practice is. SSL9 was the indicator that bisu could dominate if he chose too. But ultimately, your comment puts to shame how damn good Mind really is.

Ok, its true my oppinion is really harsh, but do you really think Jangbi had more practice than Bisu?

Meeh. I watched it because I read your post (or at least I watched G1 and G2, G3 isn't on the hungryapp channel yet). They have the virtue of being better than the other HungryApp games but honestly they've all been really uninspired. Not much fighting going on (in terms of balance of favour in the game). I guess people upvoted the recommendation on G2 because Zero hit the timing for consume on the Terran's push and Mong got up to 5 bases on mech. But that discounts Zero being really inefficient getting his third, Mong spreading himself too thin and neither player doing much interesting with their units. Not to discredit how hard StarCraft is to play and that they're good players, but it was a lackluster game. Get to 4-6base Z vs 5base T and you don't really expect the game to just end without a spectacular play, but it did.
For some reason I've been enjoying the OSL ro8 games quite a bit more, where at least the games have been a bit more dynamic if not without their faults. I'd definitely say if you've only got time for a few games you'll find better ones there.

I have to echo that yes Mong was being greedy for taking all those bases but in the recent games I've seen, terran is more than capable of holding before the eco kicks in because zerg seem to have forgotten how to deal with mech.
Also ZerO's defense while on 4 bases was really strong during the last 2 games imo.
