Game1 Summary: Anytime > Nada Tau Cross Anytime avg APM: 290 Nada avg APM: 374 This game was action from start to finish; its already one of the best games i've ever seen in starleague history. Anytime opens up straight up standard: gateway+range-->robo-->gateway-->expands after seeing Nada get fast seige mode. Nada on the other hand, completely psyched out his opponent by getting siege first, and proceeding to do a super aggressive 6 vulture + 3 tank push EXTREMELY early in the game. Anytime barely holds this off, letting 3 vultures into his main and running an (empty) shuttle around Nada's main to force nada to pull back. At this point, both players show how sexy macro oriented games they've prepared. Nada and anytime promptly take their 3rd gas naturals, and nada takes a 4th expansion thereafter. As Nada is massing up w/ standard 2 armory 7 factory tank/vulture, Anytime has kept his gateway count low (at 6) and built 2 forges, fast templar, and ARBITERS. Anytime then added 10 GATEWAYS and began to hardcore mass like crazy. At this point, macro mode was in full effect and both players were generating giant amounts of units. Anytime was the clear brilliant player: while performing dozens of enormous allin arbiter+storm+stasis attacks, anytime was dropping reavers and templar all over Nada's expansion. Nada managed to hold strong over and over and over again. It slowly seemed as thought nada was gaining the upperhand However, looking back at anytime's main, anytime had about 20 gateways constantly pouring out units. Nada had held out defensively for long enough. Nada had made a handful of offensives, killing 1 expo during each attack, but in is last attack, Anytime caught Nada at an insanely good angle. 2 stasisses and 50 billion zealots later, Nada typed GG before his units even unfroze. He was running out of money, so he shouldn't spend it on turrets. I think NaDa would've been better off making turrets, but things we should keep in mind are: 1.) It's easy for us to say what a player should have done since we can see both players. 2.) Games at this level are so intense that even progamers don't always (edit) make the best decisions. | ||
