I suppose there was uncharacteristic plays from Bisu in that game. But I myself abhor (wow that's a strong word) macro oriented type of games. And no matter what the result was, Bisu still won at the end.

Yeah Larva beeing the current top zvp player of the whole scene you expect a W.O for bisu ? Bvz is still A p r o t o s s

since when is larva the top zvp player? hero, killer, zero, etc dont exist?
|
I'll give him that he probably has the ZvP of the players in the Ro8.
|
Well, I don't think Larva made an effort to transition to sc2. so he's been streaming and practicing BW since the end of the scene for a long time now, whereas Zero only recently returned.
Larva is a good, if not top Z player right now. I don't think you should hold the fact he was a b-teamer back in 2012 against him.
|
Larva's additional advantage (if you want to call it that) is that he was Bisu's practice partner in ZvP ever since Bisu got back. So not only does he have the SKT Telecom 1 experience of playing BvZ, he also understands Bisu's current form and style much more than any other progamer. The fact that he's less skilled than, say hero or Killer is probably made up for by his familiarity with Bisu. That said, I think Kwanro's the true danger to Bisu. hero will play Bisu straight up and while he might win a few games, he won't be able to really match Bisu pound for pound, skill-wise. Kwanro, on the other hand, knows how to cheese properly in series play, which has proven time and again to be Bisu's true weakness in PvZ.

Larva played really well in this tournament, look at his results... He was a B-Teamer, but now he is much better than before, this guy has potencial!

Bisu was being slightly Storkish (greedy 1 can only expand vs zerglings), but still has his godly micro and multitasking. He'd better be more careful in the semis against Pikachu.
Also nice 17 kills dragoon in game 5!
e: And why was Mini vs Kwanro rated 5 stars wtf.
