This is my biggest gripe with SC2. Clumped armies make maxed army fight look like one clump vs another clump. And either clump can die in about 10 seconds into gg.

it's because they're sitting on 70-80 probes at 8-10 mins and can just max units from then on

Depends on your definition of beggining. There was a competitive scene and a ton of tournaments early in the beta. Zerg started as the power house in korea while protoss dominated elsewhere. Later on, like more than half of the beta had already passed, people actually started playing terran (this was also the time when a few bw ex pros and b teamers or low tier Ateam players switched and went terran). By this time terrans started to own and that ownage started with those timmings you talk about.
But before that there was a lot of sc2 too and protoss....

But he had only sentrys to attack it which do like no damage so i have no idea why he even tried it.

You can stop SCV's from repairing it by forcefielding them away. FBH should have known he didn't have nearly enough firepower to do anything there though o-o
