I dont know if he should have risked the final game by going BBS or 14CC but from game one he SHOULD have definitely tried to scout super early like when he starts his supply depot or after it is finished to have a better chance to adjust his build to those 13 or 14 nexii that Jangbi was throwing at him.

Hahahahaha. This is a nice gem from the thread. <3
Watching the VODS on Game 4 atm. I hate this 1-base Terran contain nonsense. What is the effective counter to this? =\

Given the nature of Pathfinder as well as previous PvTs on the map, I see no reason why Fantasy wouldn't have prepared for it. But preparing and beating a strategy are two different things. Carriers on this map literally is, in Idra's infamous words, "a useful talent to have".

There's a reason why terran generally wall off in TvP.
If you want to see one of many examples why, see game 3.

Brief analysis:
Nowadays, Recall is very situational - simcity, turret defense, mine placement and tank positioning has really relegated its effectiveness. You might get the base (probably not, float imba LOLOL) but unless you waste the energy to Recall your army back out, they're probably going to get wiped for way more than it's worth (unless you're up like 2 bases, idk)
I don't think Fantasy expected Jangbi to remain so steadfastly committed to Carriers - for most players, you implicitly want to tech switch at that point - 1.5 base Carriers doesn't work that well - but that only seals your doom. But more importantly, where I think Fantasy failed was his reluctance in going Wraiths. When he saw that Jangbi was committed to Carriers, I think he could and should have dropped 3 ports and turtled with his ground forces on 2base. Conceding the natural contain allowed Jangbi map control with his Carriers, meaning any attempt to expand would've been incredibly difficult. We saw Fantasy's ability to snipe Observers, had he done so earlier with more Wraiths, he just might've crippled Jangbi before he had the ability to rebuild Carriers at any decent rate.

oh man, what a SICK finals!
go jangbi!
(i hate fantasy. there's something about his face i don't like. also he has weird fingers. as you can see my opinions are entirely based on starcraft skills.)

WOW. Just watched the VODs. The final game is sheer awesomeness.

Can someone explain what Fantasy was doing in game 3 on Gladiator?
Jangbi took an early third; dropped two reavers over Fantasy's goliaths in main, killing some scv's, three depots, and Fantasy's only armory; and macroed up a big force of zealots and dragoons, which he used to overwhelm Fantasy's natural after the reaver drop.
I think Fantasy had 5 factories, one machine shop, and two bases. After the reaver drop, he had something like 85 supply to Jangbi's 140. What was he going for? He knew about Jangbi's early third and the robo bay, I think.

I'm most interested in where were fantasy's 3-4 goliaths when Jangbi dropped the second time. First time the said goliaths just went "sup shuttle" and it flew away like "oh shit, goliaths". And the second drop... they like magically disappeared, though they could kill at least 1 shuttle before it dropped any unit. My question is - wtf???

Just finished watching the VOD's and all I gotta say is that this series is amazing, and I recommend it to anyone who has ever liked Sc:Bw.

He was trying to push a little bit with his siege tanks, probably just to put some pressure on Jangbi and buy himself some time and space so he can expand...So he had 3-4 goliaths with tanks, protecting them from zealot bombs and stuff... That 2 shuttle strategy is very rare,so you can`t blame Fantasy for not expecting them. I`m not pro,but I`m pretty sure that`s what happened.

For the second drop, I think Fantasy had two goliaths instead of three covering the drop area. Like Vuk said, the other one was probably moved to protect his tanks from zealot bombs. Jangbi did a great job getting his shuttle full of zealots to take most of the goliath hits while he moved his reaver shuttle in towards Fantasy's mineral line, armory and depots. Fantasy focused on the shuttles with his goliaths, and eventually killed at least the reaver shuttle, but not before both reavers were unloaded. He may have also killed the zealot shuttle - I don't remember.
