Contrary to popular belief, i feel like this series was terribly played by fantasy. No cheese whatsoever. (2 fac isnt a cheese imo). Jangbi lost with his dt cheese but at least he tried it. Fantasy was too content with playing standard, which is not his forte.

1fac port and 2fac are both cheese. if they're not...i dunno what is. were you expecting 3 fac vulture allins or bbs or something dumb like that? 2 port into nukes? triathlon wasn't in the map pool bro

Epic amazing series. That game 5 was one of the best ever. JangBi!

Man Jangbi played so good throughout this tournament. Throughout all his games the only unit he probably didn't make was a freaking scout. His openings vs fantasy were really diverse and were keeping fantasy on edge. Great games, great champion.
My favorites: Terran - Maru // Protoss - SoS // Zerg - soO ~~~ fighting!

Yeah, i noticed that too. Using different kinds of units makes him more versatile, which is cool in my book. And I bet Fantasy wasn't expecting carriers, just like Soo wasn't expecting a dark archon!

There was definitely a lack of storms...

the funniest part is that proxy 7bbs in game 5 would actually win him this OSL...

and yeah, don't talk about that it'd be undeserved. IF you have the balls to do THIS in set 5, THEN you deserve the gold anyway.

And a lack of macro. When he played Flash on pathfinder he was 6-7 bases to Flash's 3 when the first clash happened and he stormed Flash just enough to survive. Jangbi doesn't have a lot of games to study (where he is at his peak) whereas Fanta was on good vP run and Jangbi could counter him based on his style in those games.

Still - Fanta played amazingly and had a good chance to get the gold in set5. Jangbi was just too confident and made a comeback that people will talk about for ages

I dig how Jangbi built a corsair in both game 1 and game 5. That was pretty neat.

I would've came ropes if he used Dweb to deny the natural harass.

I mean, he already had Fleet Beacon, it's like 200/200 to completely shut down that clump of Turrets and Siege Tanks.

Finally got around to finishing the series. Congratulations Jangbi! I don't think I've ever been so happy for someone to win a title besides Flash before. R.I.P Kongline.

I think set 5 just rocked my world. Oh baby jangbi you're too hot. When he won I was off my chair cheering. Great final.

In that 2 fact he had like 10-12 SCVs on minerals too, it was definitely cheesy/allin. If JangBi broke that contain fantasy would have been severely fucked.

People say that it was a comeback in game 5, but i'll have to repeat this:
Fantasy's anti-interceptor micro is terrible. He rarely attacked interceptors, even when the carrier were out of sight and the interceptors were attacking him. Simply going for carriers pretty much won jangbi the game.

mind games my young padawan. Fantasy knew Jangbi was expecting cheese, just like Jangbi knew Fantasy was expecting storm. They were mind fucking with each other, but Jangbi was like fuck it....channel the inner stork....two base carrier.
