WHY 5RAX EVERY TVZ?! wow... zero came really well prepared for this game Of course, fan complains when he loses but will praises him when he wins with that build. i prefer the ever osl 09 strat. Deny the zerg 3rd, take a third, huge macro advantage, pre defiler tank and mnm push. Well the 5rax denies the zerg third, so how is this different? Did you mean the ever so popular late mech? the execution? Flash always got on even bases back then. The late mech was to hold the bases. The only time flash would lose was when his turrets were too late. I don't like this early ebay, 5rax.
I don't like it either, but it has a huge success rate. And that is what matters.

They did get the two worst ace match maps, especially factoring in the positions on Icarus (Zerg natural adjacent to Terran main + exposed mineral line is a 1/6 chance on Icarus)
You gotta play the games, but luck does come into play

Once Flash lost map control vs Lurkers, it was done. He couldn't get a 3 tank 1 vessel push up in time, and Zero just rolled him with defilers. Well not really, Zero was going drops, Flash would've had to relinquish map control to run back to save main, in a sense losing map control was a good thing because Flash's army was closer to home when the drops landed. I found it really ironic that he was getting dropped among the ruins of cancelled turrets...
Yet the cancel of the turrets was a very good thing economically for flash. They were dead turrets afterall and would do nothing in terms of stalling.
But it was deffo the StopLurkers that gave Zero a lead, not Flashs opening.

thanks to the streamers and nana

Bah, screw map imba whine. That game wasn't lost because of the map.

What is the proper response to lurkers? Flash just usually out micros the other guy.

You answered your own question.

Every other map in proleague is statistically terran-favored at the moment. I can't believe people are whining because one single map is favoring zerg.

I'm kinda glad I missed the last two games now.

And being predictable with his build.

On July 16 2011 16:33 Release wrote: What is the proper response to lurkers? Flash just usually out micros the other guy. Flash was running after lings, had he gunned for the natural he'd most likely just killed Zero straight up before the lurkers spawned (if you rewatch the game you'd see the slim timing, but Flash couldnt have known and Zero did a great job of baiting flash back and stopping reinforcements.)
So basically you need to hit that timing pretty good aswell as micro very well. What this does in effect is delaying the third since it's really hard to move around the map for zerg. Had Zero not done enough damage with his drops even after the stoplurker he'd be in quite the trouble as his third was very late.

If you can't catch the lurkers in an unfavourable position, tanks is the proper response. That is why this worked against 5rax before fact build, Zero was controlling his army well and without tanks it's an uphill struggle.

I'm happy for Woongjin for winning (FUCK YEAH KIM MYUNG WOON), but all I want to know is how the hell did Free suddenly decide to win a clutch match? Seriously, the one time we actually desperately 100% need him, he suddenly decides to win. But when he's not playing with anything on the line he just gets blown apart (proxy 2 gate underneath an overlord).

Those lings that cut off reinforcements + made Flash's army pull back a little so Zero could get the stop lurkers in position were fucking heroes.
