I don't think Light's shown us enough poor play to call it a slump yet. With how few games have been played, it can still be chalked up to a bad luck streak.
Light already gaining position on the map. But Flash gearing up to expand to the 9 o'clock island. Ahhh, a dropship flies into Light's main and his SCV barely misses it!
That dropship was fucking awesome, avoided the nat, then cut across the map narrowly avoiding Light's vultures, then backs off right before an scv comes to check the area, and comes to land... fucking maphacks.

They they may be one half of flash, will be 2nd best of everything, but never the best.
KT is still looking in a good position... they managed to sacrifice a shitty player to Sea. Now it's gonna be uphill for MBC as Tyson, Jaehoon, and Hyun have to fight against KT's non-Flash A-team.

Jaehoon sending a probe to expo at the 1.5 island. Forgg senses a disturbance in the force and check s it out. SCV sees the probe and probe leaves without putting down a nexus.
fOrGG's tank positioning is really awkward. The ones in the back are too far back to protect the expansion. Not having any vultures doesn't help either.

How can you hate on Jaehoon after all the hilarious entertainment he's provided us with throughtout his career. I love the guy and always root for him. ^__^
I thought Jaehoon played that smart, his probes at 11 and 1 were clever and he never got too greedy with his pushes against ForGG's 3rd, just sniped it repeatedly and then retreated.
Then again, ForGG does not seem to know how to place his tanks or how to expand...

Jaehoon attacked 3 times. EMP was in the process of being researched the THIRD time. It finished during the first battle, as you could see him toss a throwaway emp with the first vessel Jaehoon stasis'd after the battle was over.
I'm actually happy KT is using round 1 to develop their less used players (rOo/Barracks/Suny/Anyppi), will make for a stronger lineup in later rounds. Shame about Violet/ForGG not doing so well though (and Action drawing zvzs -_-)

Both players engage, stats throwing up a lot of storms on han's forces. han loses a lot of units, but ends up on top overall. Han doesn't pursue stats's retreating units, and eats 1 more storm by a smug ht before it leaves.

send flash on protoss plains? don't be dumb the way this map works is, you send a protoss so you have a 50% chance to win: hope you're the one who spawns counterclockwise from your opponent so you're basically guaranteed to win. send any other race and it's basically autolose.

Well, I hate Tyson a bit less now. He kinda redeemed himself. What's with protoss and consistency? First Pure, then Snow(to an extent), then this guy. I guess the same applies to SKT zergs but still.
I feel bad for players who get sent out for ace for their team and lose when the team could have sent out Flash, Jaedong, Stork, Bisu, etc. They must feel like crap knowing they had the opportunity to be ace for their team over a more skilled player and they blew it.

When you're counterclockwise, your back expansion is further away from your opponent than his back expansion is from you. To make matters worse, the counter clockwise player can walk directly from their natural straight to a cliff that overlooks your opponent's back expansion.
At least, that's what I can see. I suck at this stuff.

Halfway into the game Stats was still forced to use only half his natural because Han was able to walk a small goon force up there and get a free advantage. Stats cannot do the same thing to him. The problem compounds itself once shuttles come into play.

Flash has gotten over map imbalance in the past. Never putting him out in ace games won't end a losing streak. I week in a couple weeks Flash will be back in ace matches again because he needs to get back on the horse and I don't think Stats, as much as I like his play, can take the strain of 2 games in a series constantly. When teams look at KT right now, they can automatically assume Stats is ace.
Stats needs to be the Sam to Flash's Frodo and share the load.
Wow, I know KT's been slumping but losing to MBC? I think Flash had better take over Ace duties again. OK This map is protoss-favored but if anyone's gonna overcome that..
Hohoho, another close finish MBC... Glad to see the win, but Light - hes just not feeling it. Chalk up another MBC victim, chalk up another point for me in the LB.
People on twitter have asked Kespa about fixing Central Plains and they said they are discussing it and the modified maps for round 2 will be released sometime next week.
Lol 27 out of 25 games on Central Plains have been PvP. In the 7 non mirror games, 6 have involved protoss, and protoss has won 5 of those 6. The only loss was a cheese by yellow vs snow
I know central plain is hugely toss favoured, but when you have a bunch of scrub and the best player ever in your team, it's still safer to rely on the best player in the world. Yeah, despite any imbalance.
Kt management was kinda smart last season, now it seems the team is ruled by some brainless poulp.
Aw dude thats terrible. That many games and that many zergs. It seems to me that there would be a decision made more quickly.
Another question that kinda pertains to that....who initially decides that a map is favored for one race? The teams while they practice on it? I guess I am asking if declaring a certain map to be op for one race effectively stops all practice on it by other races to find a different way.
OR is bw just beyond that as far as being figured out.
