yes ling defiler is hard to crack metal with, especially if it's ALL YOU CAN AFFORD please pay attention to the game before you say dumb stuff like 'omg zerg can do nothing' | ||

The thing is those ultra drops on the tanks were completely unsupported, so Effort was basically trading one ultra for one tank. You want to use drops along with a big attack/swarms but that didn't really happen. Obviously taking on mech is hard for Zerg but this was really inferior to Zero's play against Flash. | ||

Specifically the denial of 9 expo and then stall/halt tank, mnm vessel push before consume is complete? Doing it 3 times was too much granted, but the 1st time when he was parked at the natural seemed a reasonable decision. | ||

Effort didn't play optimally but it kind of annoys me when people just quote day9's advice from over a year ago (mech play hasn't evolved at all since then, right?) and suggest that progamers have no clue what they are doing. Hydra/Muta is a great way to battle Mech when you have a big econ advantage. Which effort never had. Per cost, fully upgraded Goliath/Tank will destroy Hydra/Muta. Effort had to get tricky to stay in the game. | ||
