Very good groups! None of the group is boring and the distribution of power is pretty good.

Jaedong got the easiest group of the four as usual. Sea isn't looking very hot right now. Flash's group is pretty much auto-seeding for him as well.

The center of attention for me, as a SKT fan, is group A and D. Both groups have two superpowers and two talented players in each. They should promise some excellent gameplay. I will try to stay up and watch those two if I am able.

Effort 3-0 Bisu 1-2 winning in tie breakers as he is gonna drop a few games due to playoffs, his standard game>>>Action, Leta with all the added practice from playoffs so he will make it.

Flash 3-0 Hiya 2-1, Zero is gonna get hyuked and owned by Flash. Hyuk is gonna lose to both terrans.

Jaedong 3-0 Pure 2-1, For a guy whose name is hydra, his ZvP and hydra control blows, and Sea is gonna get roflstomped by Pure and Jaedong again.

Stork 2-1, Fantasy 2-1. Honestly, this group is a toss up between free, stork, and fantasy. Kal is not going to win in his current form. Can't see fantasy winning 3-0 against all these tosses with really different/good PvT styles and Playoffs. I really can't see anyone making it 3-0 out of this group.

Bisu should have an easy enough time with his group. Leta's not good in vP or in Starleagues, and is especially not good vP during Starleagues. Action's ZvP is getting better but hardly intimidating yet. Only Effort poses a significant threat.

I'm mixed about group D. By definition, a Protoss has to advance, I guess. I'm hoping that there's an upset and two advance over Fantasy. Stork because he's always brought his A-game against Flash and Jaedong, or maybe Free because he's got that Royal Road thing going out.

Pure has an okay chance in group C, but I've never been a big Pure fan. I'd rather Hydra make it and represent CJ. A lucky cheese or build order against Jaedong, perhaps, and exploit generic Z>P gayness against Pure. I doubt he'll beat Sea.

Hiya and Zero for group B! :D

There is no group of life this year, but (T)

Flash will probably have the easiest time in group B out of all the major players.

Though it would not surprise me to see Hiya and Pure make it instead of Zero and Sea, respectively. And free could make it in instead of Stork if Stork doesn't bring his A game.

OSL Ro8 is completely random*. So if all 4 of those players advance, they have a small chance of avoiding each other. Remember a couple OSL's ago where Flash and Jaedong met in the Ro8? Best two players right there were forced to go at it in only a Bo3, and because JD lost in the Ro8 he did not get rewarded with a seed, while players like Shine were.

I thought that season would have convinced Ongamanet that the Ro8 should be Bo5, but they insist that having the second best player eliminated in the Ro8 in a Bo3 is perfectly fine.

*I could be wrong, but irrc.
