Jaedong took the island expos. Sea needed dropships to attack them, and it's also likely that he didn't realize that JD had double expanded, so he thought he was in okay shape by just taking map control and putting a little pressure on to force more sunkens.

ye so bad that he even could go there. (and JD defended them well with scourges and guas, no drop would do againts them anything.)

blame the map for Sea's passivity. what should you do againts this?

I feel Sea could have pushed way earlier with the amount of turrets he was placing. Or get a few siege tanks and push at the natural. Or get less turrets and more rines and push...

Oh well... no love lost from me. Sea managed to make that very exciting despite his huge disadvantage. That drop in his main just really crippled him.

Not in any respectable time frame... by then Jaedong had enough stuff to defend easily really well thought out by strategy, there really wasn't anything Sea could do about it.

I don't think you even need sight. There's a little mineral patch past each gate that you can use to glitch workers through.

there was nydus canal and guardians. iam pretty sure that any dropship play would fail at that stage of game. sea simply could do anything in this map againts this build. maybe if he could amass a huge mm force and he could kill the expoes and he could ( too much could:D) defended that drop...
but you know JD won no matter what:D

There have been a pretty good number of maps in the past with multiple island expos. Ultimatum, for example, with 67% TvZ.

its a semi island expo, like in triathlon. it can be reached with worker easily, but hard to kill with other forces.
the island expoes are surely hard to obtain with zerg (cuz researching the drop is slow and expensive in the early game)
but he could expo like this almost untouchable.
