Damn Sunday 6pm . So are the handicaps listed already set in stone or does the individual challenger select them to be implemented? If so, how many? Because 1 gas + no zeal + no ob = ridiculous. The ob is mobile detection, so to kill a lurker in that situation, he'll have to use archon splash, inflicting damage as well on his own gas guzzling unit.

Exactly, and the handicaps are selected randomly from a section (units/upgrades, etc.) and they stack after each game.

Okay then, what makes a good handicap?
There are a couple of things that make a bad handicap.

      The do handicap - "Yeah he's gotta plague his army lol"
Handcaps are mostly about what he can't do. If you tell he has to do something it raises when?/how?/where? questions - which makes the whole thing rather complicated - and if his opponent ggs before he can do whatever it is he has to do does he lose?


Please keep this in mind.

Handicap: Templar Orgy. Someone slipped Spanish Fly into Aiur's waters supply. One templar (of each type) is allowed as normal. If there are ever two or more, they must be combined into (dark) Archons as soon as possible.

It's no more of a "must" than the double tech handicap. And what's nonsensical about it? No templars, only archons, except for the odd leftover if you don't have enough to make a pair.

And this is more of a 'must' than disallowing the *use* of units under a condition?

The trouble with language is that it's too flexible. Double Tech's current description has the phrase 'will have to be' which is exactly synonymous with 'must be'. You could easily rephrase mine to be 'No HT spells or DT attacks if there are more than one friendly HT or DT on the board', if you like, and then Double Tech is a 'must' and mine isn't!

As a handicap it's gonna be pretty hard to keep track of is they're cross-map


This is a perfectly good objection, though. I should have thought of that.

For Aiur! Everytime a minion of Aiur warps in a building, dreams of the homeland force it to charge the enemy.

(shift attack is so much easier than making me kill my own units) - and you get to see a humble little probe take on an army of ultras.
