I just watched the game, and other than that 1 goon he lost in the beginning, the rest of the mine kills honestly looked like the were unavoidable. He could've sniped some of the mines, but if he did that, he probably would have lost just as many goons to the tanks

If stork didnt want to get screwed by mines like that, he shouldnt have put camped his goons in a place where vults could sneak up from behind. He also shouldnt have used his ridiculously greedy build in the first place

this is what i think. i think if he had kept that one dragoon blocking the ramp he would have won the fight in front of his natural or at least traded armies. when he brought that dragoon down the two vultures were able to come from behind and plant mines, pincering storks army.

Genius move, check mate. I don't see how people are discrediting Stork's anti-mine control. No protoss would survived that flank! That's like complaing about pro's marine control when it is 10 zealot versus 2 marines in open space.

I just watched flash vs stork in Ace, dose anyone else think its a very similar game to their game on Troy in their finals?

Not so much early game. That OSL game he had with Flash was Stork playing mind games and a ridiculous build order.

Stork just plays very greedy against Flash, and Flash likes to take advantage of that

He didn't throw goons. Perfectly microed vultures pwn goons ez, it has already happened in other games. Unless your name is Bisu and ur micro is always sick good.

Is it just me or could Violet have been easily beaten if Great pushed into Violet's natural right away with those 3 Lurkers rather than just keeping them burrowed to try to contain him? After he broke the initial cannons, I could have sworn there was a timing where Zerg could have pushed up while the new cannons were warping in. It also seemed to me that Violet didn't have his cannons in a really good position there to protect his expansion Nexus (even though the worker line was being protected) and he also didn't have Observers yet either. Zerg could have easily sealed that game by pushing instead of just sitting there outside the base.

That game really felt like a loss for the Zerg (due to complacency) rather than a win for the Protoss... =/

Maybe I'm wrong... I don't know. I'm going to go watch that game again.. >.<

No you are right, great could also have won if he just kept making zerglings after his first bunch got in.

There were so many possible ways to win, but few to lose. :p
