As I said in another thread, this match will be a very good litmus test to see if Savior has (somewhat) recovered from his massive slump. If Savior can do well, or even beat Flash, in a straight up game, I think he'd be a viable option for CJ to use in future proleague games.
But yeah...even if I wasn't a KT supporter, I'd still say that Savior winning against Flash would take a miracle. The man who recently lost a "best of three" against some random called Bubble is now against the man who has pretty much been curbstomping decent Zergs left and right in straight up games.

Firefist ZvT is mediocre, so I don't expect him to win. Stats is doing well, but Movie is no average P, this can be a toss-up, but I think that Movie will be more likely to win this. Flash > anyone at the moment, maybe except for Jaedong (and maaaybe Bisu), so sorry savior, we all love you but sometimes love isn't quite enough. Luxury vs Effort, a battle between the two top-5 zergs, none of them is Jaedong so this can go either way. If Effort wins, CJ will bag this 3-1. If Luxury does, the game comes down to ace, and Flash will crush anyone who steps in the opposite booth.

I feel KT takes it 3-1 with Stats dropping, possibly Firefist.
If both Stats and Firefist lose then there's always the chance Lux might drop so I could see 3-1 CJ. If it gets to ace though I think Flash will seal the deal 3-2 KT

I'm still looking forward to savior vs. Flash, savior still seems to step his play up when against tough opponents while failing miserably against the mediocre.

This is a tough one to predict. Flash will win his game, 99%. Sorry Savior, but Flash is on a 10 game TvZ streak and you're not going to be the one to break it.
But the rest of KT could easily lose their matches. Luxury is a good ZvZer, but it's still ZvZ and Effort is no slouch. SkyHigh is probably going to beat Firefist. Stats vs Movie is a tossup to me.
If it goes to ace, Flash will get sent out on Heartbreak Ridge and mop the floor with Effort in a humiliating fashion.
So, either:
- Everyone on KT except Flash loses their game, CJ wins.
- One other person besides Flash wins their game, KT wins.

I can't say i'm in love with the lineup KT is fielding here. Flash is looking likely to win, but the rest seem to favor CJ.

Why ain't nobody believing in Stats? Dream case scenario for me is Stats and flash winning and either going to ace match and winning (if my FPL dictated all my options).

Luxury / Effort is zvz... oh crap that sucks, would be so hyped for it if it wasn't a mirror.
Stats / Movie is interesting, if movie plays like he did in the OSL group F he is gonna take it... But somehow I have a feeling that Movie's weakest MU is PvP.

It could happen. Flash has only played TvT once before on HBR (and lost), and probably expects a zerg. Despite Flash's TvT form, we know that Skyhigh can beat him -- certainly with just a bit of luck and if he's better prepared. In fact, looking at how Flash demolished Effort the last time they met... How is it disrespectful? It is way worse than Shine beating Bisu, for example (Savior is below Shine and Flash is ahead of Bisu). Savior just got knocked out in OSL preliminaries losing to a Terran called Bubble who has never played an official game. Flash on the other hand is raping Zergs left and right currently with exceptional play, recently beating Effort 2-0 with ease. How am I disrespectful?

I wouldn't be too surprised if Firefist won though. Stats < MovieDid you see Movie's games? This kid can play like a beast. His PvP isn't great, but none of Stat's PvP wins are against good players. None. I wouldn't be surprised if Stats won though because Movie is pretty inconsistent. Flash < sAviOrlol Luxury < EffOrtEffort is too damn solid in both game sense and mechanics.

Tough match. Not because it is hard to predict, but because many people will have their heart cheering for MJY while their brains will be rationalising Flash´s victory. Few top shape zergs are capable of taking down the Ultimate Weapon, and a two year slumping sAviOr is not among them.
Luxury < Outsider SE > EffOrt
EffOrt has picked up right Where he left Last season before a tough ZvZ run and every hater was screaming "slump! slump". He seems as solid as Ever, and although Luxury has started this season on Fire, I think EffOrt will close this for a needing CJ.
CJ wins 3-1.

Yes Savior is the underdog and anything else but a clear victory by flash will be an upset, though I certainly wouldn't call it upset of the season. Still the way the coach is sending him out steadily is imho at least a sign he is back to training hard again.
I don't care about saviors weak performance the last seasons, i still believe he has what it takes to beat the best if it comes down to it, especially in bo1.

Saviors ZvZ=/=ZvT, but his ZvT is still no where near top level.
He will still lose. He can still show strong play, but management style vs the best terran ever... the only zergs who take games off flash are ones that 2 hatch nowadays  .

My predictions:
Firefist > Skyhigh
- Firefist should take out Skyhigh taking in to account Skyhigh's recent performance.
Stats < Movie
- Movie has been playing like a beast so I expect him to beat stats.
Flash < Savior
- Savior shouldn't beat Flash, he is the underdog, but I believe Savior CAN beat Flash and in this instance he will (there must be a reason if they constantly play Savior and against Flash of all people).
Luxury < Effort
- Effort vs Lux is a real toss-up, Lux in top form vs Effort in top form is such a coin flip but i'm gonna go with Effort on this one.
This is more with my heart than my head but I can see it happening as well.
If it goes to ace it's probably going to be either:
Flash vs Effort (Flash > Effort)
or
Flash vs Savior (Flash > Savior) - this will depend on how the earlier match went though (the only reason i'm putting the maestro as a possibility is because he's been played ALOT and even as an ace so it's not out of the question).
However if Lux wins and it goes to ace he could be played, which would result in (assuming the same players are played expecting Flash)
Lux > Savior
Lux > Effort - a coin flip again, but if Lux wins his match he'll have momentum.

I really hope this goes to Ace, because both teams could conceivably send any player of any race.
KT could send Violet but if CJ sends Effort or Movie, they've both played enough vs P games on Heartbreak that it might not be that big of a gain.
Probably the smartest thing for KT to do is send Flash because I think he beats every CJ player on Heartbreak (even Effort, though Effort won their last ace match on Heartbreak 6 months ago).

This sucks. I tried to trade Luxury for Leta yesterday and it turned out that I didn't press the confirmation key after I clicked the trading button. I was REALLY looking forward to rooting against KT. And now I have to support Luxury, all the while cheer leading CJ, which has always been my 2nd favorite team.

EffOrt stymied Luxury quite convincingly in their last match-up. Both are playing excellent starcraft right now though. EffOrt also has a streak, mind you, it's just not including offline games, because... EffOrt didn't totally fail last season and have the play them again.

If CJ is smart, they'll train a Protoss player hardcore to prepare for an ace match against Flash. I think TvP is Flash's worst MU, and he has to practice TvZ already for tonight.
I don't think Effort has much of a chance against Flash in an ace match.

Lurker/ling + defiler is able to repulse the Terran army
T is taking a 3rd, they should be in good shape to hold it. Zerg needs a fourth soon, but is still under too much pressure. Zerg needs to use his tech and take advantage of the big map to get back in this, but he's going to be hard pressed with the drop ships T just produced.
Zerg taking 4th anyway at 9, gets off a great plague... awesome defiler play over all, I hate thous fucking things. hahah sweet tears up the plagued marines and spots the drop ships.
Drop coming in, loses 1 drop ship to scourge. Multi pronged attack coming in from T. The drop gets deflected, and the force going to the main is not big enough to get anything done. Z has an army advantage again, and is now in good shape. The nyduses going up should allow him to hold his bases, but its not clear if he'll have enough freedom to tech and take hold of the game.
edit: ops I missed a bunch of terran units. My bad, zerg loses his 3rd... just a matter of time now.

SkyHigh isn't at 100% with M&M... but even in a build thats a bit akward for him, he gets it done. You can still see how well me manages the game... he loses units here and there yes, but he manages the whole really well.

I'm wondering why he decided to expo so far away when he had a closer 3rd, it would have taken the terran a bit longer to get to that center-middle position, delay him as he crosses, maybe fit in a few more zerglings before a full assault.

Savior played okay after he was behind from that first push, if he got those lings in at a better timing I think he could've done alot of damage.

I simply didn't see any way Savior could have stopped Flash... quite a contrast from the Boxer game earlier in the evening. It was certainly more entertaining, but maybe that's because it seemed a lot closer.

EDIT: I hate that build so freaking much (Effort's). But it's incredibly effective. You hold off the first 8 lings, go spores, and slowly (in terms of zvz) overwhelm your opponent with a better economy.
In addition, I would like to add: SKT vs Oz and KT vs CJ sound like great matchups. But between the [six to ten] games played tonight, only one was memorable in any way whatsoever! (You know the one I mean). A terrible disappointment overall... But I have high hopes for WeMade vs MBC!

Effort vs. Luxury was a really good game, even though it was practically a BO loss. Once EffOrt got his expansion up, there was really nothing that Luxury could do to keep up in economy.

Actually I think it was his decision making (expand early, build up spores, lings wall to delay Lux's expansion ...) and perfect execution which won him the game. He didn't really need to pull off any cute micro because he had an economical advantage. All he needed to do was to fence off any attack by Lux's early lings with his lings and drones, then not to let Lux's mutas to do any huge damage on his drones (which he did perfectly by having those spores). After that he only had to macro up and rolled over Lux's low econ.

Perfectman was so popular only because of that win against Iris where he pulled off some very good shuttle/reaver micro. It was when he moved from the unknown to the spotlight. Though when people expected the most from him, he failed to deliver (SPL grand finals, today's match). Can't really blame him anyway, because in both occasions his opponent was the best Protoss in the world.
Back on topic, Oz's non-Jaedongs are obviously much worse than Violet/Luxury. I place Stats in the same category with Perfectman, he's been doing fairly well recently though he needs to prove it with time. Violet is no doubt much more consistent than Backho. And saying Luxury is worse than the like of Killer just because he lost to Effort (a top 3 zerg) today is nonsensical.

Last season this was somewhat true, since Luxury and Forgg kept failing.
With Luxury back on form and a few of their bench (that they never played at all last season) showing potential, KT is a better team right now.

Even when he was playing well it was Hiya's TvP that was carrying him when P was doing well everywhere - that's really not that relevant nowadays when each team is trying to figure out where to hide their Protoss player (or on Heartbreak which is a TvP nightmare).
Also Stats has already done way more than Perfectman, who has basically won one big game total. Stats has already made a league (beating two OSL semifinalists Fantasy and type-b in the process). Not to mention Violet....

It's really amazing how such erroneous misconceptions can be made. Just how is Jaedong a one man team? Yes Oz's non-Jaedong players collectively slumped to some degree in rounds 4 and 5 but they were the reason that Oz was so far ahead of everyone with their strong performances in rounds 1, 2, and 3.
KT does have *slightly* better overall Ace potential though, as Flash performed better (9-5) than Jaedong (6-4), and Oz's only other Ace player was ForGG (1-0?) who is now on KT (0-1 there I believe?). But Luxury's poor ace performance (1-2) doesn't really help much either. So Flash is better at Jaedong at Ace matches (though performed worse in WL playoffs) but his support is terrible. Hiya did decently at 2-1 here.
Judging right now you can't say anything as there's only been what 4-5? games played. In those games both teams have played varying levels of opponents (KT has beaten up on some really easy pickings then lost to a solid CJ, Oz has had a more mixed field).

KT has always been one of the best teams on paper, they have 2 msl champs lux and forgg, and of course flash. However, its rare to see anyone on the team not including flash performing anywhere close to their potential, hence I wouldn't be surprised if Oz does better without JD compared to flash.

I think that Jaedong/hiya/backho is probably comparable to Flash/Violet/Luxury. It's just that KT has much better options after that, while Oz starts to rely on... perfectman and killer. Firefist, 815, Sair, Tempest are all decent players. Forgg is terrible.

LuCifer is on WeMade now. HoeJJa has been the 2nd choice zerg player for KT in the first two weeks of this season, and I expect him to stay in that position, and Tempest apparently isn't as good as Stats and Violet.
