Hi guys! I've been busy so haven't been able to reply here. Anway i think discussing how to beat these builds can be done here however that should not be the main goal
The general counter for the a-yu-mi build is to 2hatch lurker and succeed with a hold lurker or a drop. If you're already on 3 hatch place 6 sunkens and tech to lurkers+drop. Lurkers is the better option either way since terran will have slow tech and drop can really hurt a terran without tanks.
The BO-replay for TvP FE 3Fact is fixed, thnx.
I will make one or two tvt vods sooner or later but my next project is alternate TvP openings and basic tips about how to place buildings, how to scout, scan and react to different builds.
If i get some time over now I will focus on playing iccup, i really want to hit A- level this season. But this weekend i will be able to do vods, and hopefully i can do vods on my way up the ranks!
Thnx alot for all the feedbad I'm really glad you like it Also just saw that Oystein is doing something similuar, thats great. Check it out! Oystein's FPVODs

So... I follow sc results since 2001 when boxer was dominating, but never really watched any vods or replays or even tried out the game since i was really waiting for wc3 and played it till now, but as sc2 approaches i wanted to give a try to the game. The point is, i just started playing like couple days ago and also started practicing one BO for each MU like flash for TvP and mech for TvZ, i am aware that my macro pretty much sucks cause macroing in wc3 is ridiculous (trying to improve it) but one thing that also hold me down is that im not able to adapt. One example is that to me if i scout the opponent or not doesnt make any difference in TvP and TvZ because i dont know P's and Z's BO's or even what each building produce, so im hopinh some of u guys can also explain me what to expect when i scout and take a look at their buildings in TvP and TvZ. Also i dont know a BO for TvT so i mostly try something out and usually it does not work :D but at least i know what they are doing when i scout them
Thanks in advance.

Gota, start by watching all of Stylish's vods... At times he explains what to look for with your scout and how to adapt your build to it..

Apoorwc3playa Don't even start by watching the Stylish VOD's. You said you don't even know what the buildings produce, well isn't that a problem right there? See what all the buildings in each race does, and how the tech tree works. Then after you get comfortable, pick a race that you find enjoyable to play, remember, each race has its own perks; simple example, if you like to play aggressive, Zerg is probably your best bet. Then afterwards, pick a match up (ZVT, ZVP, ZVZ) and pick a build order or 2 and practice it until you can execute it naturally. This can be done against comps (as Stylish mentioned, you can just put on the cheat 'power overwhelming', hold position a scout in there, and just practice the BO without getting interrupted). Also, read all the recommended threads that are in the Teamliquid's database. They have tons and tons of information about counters, specific BO's, walling, building placement, micro'ing tips, pretty much anything you can think of, just use the search function. Build up from there. But from what I've read from your post, looks like you need to start from the VERY basic fundamentals.

Just a little note Stylish, in your FantasyBuild VOD for TVZ, I think you made a little trip up on the commentary at the very beginning, when you say you make a Supply on 11 and with the SCV that finishes you build a rax as soon as possible. I think you meant to say 9.

yeah, i guess i say some incorrect stuff here and there. Not worth to make a whole new commentary about it Unless something is terribly wrong and not obvious.
Although i think most of the time you can understand when something is wrong coz im doing a thing at the same time, for example if i scout with my scv and i say scout with the barrack its abit obvious! However if you find more errors feel free to post them here. Some people might find it useful.
More VODs coming up this weekend i hope. During the weeks though im not likely to put more up there. However i think that if people really want to learn its enough with 1 VOD each week so you have time to practice it. But there will probably be more than 1 VOD / week!
I use the time i got over now to ladder myself, i really want to climb the ranks atm^^

ure doing a great job here stylish, much appreciated ! And do not hesitate makin new VODs, everything helps I just love these perfect timing BOs, whole new way of playin it (not so much exact build timing involved in zergs play)

Thanx in advance (and sorry for bothering you with stupid questions). ;] Good question. Get 4 medics 1 round earlier, and attack. The usual A-yu-mi build will have 4 marines making when the academy is finished. But if you face 2hatch, stop marinemaking in time so you can add medics as soon as the academy finishes. Then attack. Zerg will be forced to defend the attack with his mutalisks rather than attacking your base. If you add E-bay when you move out you will be able to have turrets up in time when he has killed your units. Because you have no range, sunkens+mutalisk will probably kill your attack. But it will give you time to build turrets. From there he will have few drones (coz he made sunkens from 2hatch build) and you will have turrets + 4barracks. Defend until you get range and then usually move out, or just keep making scvs, defend and tech up to vessels.
What should I do if the zerg has like 10-12 lings outside my base and just waits for me to move out, then backstab into my main while defending my push with mutas and sunks ? should I bunker up and block the ramp with scvs or sth ? These backstab lings are also a problem with 3hatch builds.

after your medicround make 2 bats 1rine and 1 medic and still move out. If he decides to backstab you there is 2 bats and a medic who can clean lings up with the help of scvs. If there is a ramp pull scvs and block, what happens is basically that zerg has his units at your base while he really needs them at home. However if he anticipates your strategy and place 6 sunkens while he is stabbing your base you are pretty much at a disadvantage. The a-yu-mi is not a standardbuild, it has its weaknesses.
If i scout 2hatch in time i usually dont go for the a-yu-mi.

ah ok thanks for that, so what do you transition into if u scout 2hatch in time ? And when do u consider ur scouting being in time ? on first try ?

if i scout him so i have time to set my refinary after my third suply is started i consider it in time. From there I can do many things. Usually i go for a 2rax 1ebay +1rax and defend pretty well with rines+turrets and then move out if he went all in muta or tech up if he went muta into tech. Ill do some vods about it but you should watch my tvz vs 2hatch vod.

thanks for the quick answers oh I must've overseen the 2hatch counter build, only had the mech vs 2hatch in mind, sorry about that, i'm gonna watch it right away !

Well, I guess you partially answered your question yourself already. Go into turtle mode, get upgrades and try to take a third base as soon as possible. I recommend to watch replays/VODs of Flash, who plays a very macro-orientated 3 base turtle style. Be sure to have enough Science Vessels to counter Arbiters.

I was wondering somethnig stylish, is there any reason to go Fantasy build vs 3hatch? Couldn't you just 2fact mech everygame, then you dont have to worry if you scouting gets denied, or he tricks you with his BO etc etc.

Damn why can't I use filefront, it only loads like half of the site and then it just stops loading. Can't watch the stream or download but everything else on the internet works?? Someone else had this problem? It's only filefront, no other site.
