Flower's strategy which played in Survivor Group D was quite funny.

Actually, that strategy was known for Sonic's Gas grandma(가스할망구), and here's the his strategy.

1. Build extractor with 9th drone.
2. block ramp with 2 drones and build pool.
3. after you get 200 gases then destroy your extractor.
4. You should be shown like a newbie. That's the key to this strategy.
5. upgrade zergling speed and burrow.
6. When burrow upgade is completed, burrow your zerglings and hide them under overload.
7. After hiding zerglings, share your vision with your enermy like you just make a mistake and build more hatchery to lure enermy's units.
8. Turn off vision sharing, then Build Sunken colonies and more zeglings to depend your base.
9. While your are defending your base, attack enemy's base with your hidden zerglings under overload.

Flower didn't actually share vision of course. He let the probe in to scout that he has built no extractor - then he pursued the probe with his SPEEDED Zerglings -_- Self-owned.

Yeah, he ruined it when he killed the probe with speedlings. Savior at least was smart enough to hit 'hold position' before speed was finished.

I guess that's why he hit stop right after he killed the probe. Wich was kinda embarassing of him to expect he could fool him after such a chase haha.
I'm no zerg player but the only thing to expect (given the scout dies early enough) other than speed is a hatch somewhere else right? But that would'nt be really smart i guess...

that was one of the most retarded games i've ever witnessed, any toss that loses to that should be executed. Flower let the scouting probe in really blatantly, plus when zerg's ling speed is done it's preeeeeetty obvious. He wasted 2 drones early on which hurt his economy so much

I mean, it's great to fool your opponent, but I don't see any viable way that could've worked when he made the fact that it was all-in so obvious, making p cannon up a lot. Maybe he was counting on being scouted later, giving him a slightly better economy? Letting p scout "half" of the build probably confused the fuck out of him, but I think he went too all-in on it; I'm not positive, but perhaps if he had done that exact same thing, except with drones after the initial 6 lings, and if he had managed to kill probe before speed, and had p not checked the geyser's gas amount, outside of having a slower economy, it would have still forced p to make atleast a 2nd cannon much earlier than he normally would have wanted, and perhaps another after discovering speed, but z could've had a stable nat going... and then maybe the speed would pay off... though I spose there's no real advantage to having hidden the gas, and not just gone normal 9pool speed. Though if he had done a normal 9pool speed, blocking the ramp MIGHT still throw off p a little, though I can't think of anything else protoss would assume other than a 9pool if the ramp is blocked... And then blocked the pool normally with another cannon or two to be super safe...
All in all, I don't see any way that could've worked except MAYBE on hitchhiker, not vs a semi competent player, especially not vs a progamer
Regardless, I definitely lol'd when he let that probe in, it was so obvious it was on purpose I was laughing my ass off rofl

I still can't stop laughing over Sonic's video. The sad thing is it wouldn't work that well vs a low level player since they wouldn't be predictable...

When 1st part was extracted, 2nd part also would be extracted automatically. You don't need to extract 2nd part.

I just don't see what part of this so called stroke of genius is supposed to make the enemy think? That you're just that bad?
If they're bad enough that they cant pull off an attack when they see you're backwards that you dont have to use all of your produced "ninja" lings they wouldn't know what the hell you not getting gas meant anyway.
If they're good enough that they should know wtf is going on then if you have a spawning pool, no drones, no gas the only possible thing they could think was coming was some kind of proxy hatch + mass ling in which case they would react exactly as if they knew a speedling mass semi-rush was coming which defeats the entire purpose.
Saying that "that's just sooo obvious" is just ridiculous. There's no way anyone would think you were doing something that stupid even IF they realized you gave the scout away.
Basically, I just fail to see what you would actually gain from doing something like this in any of the possible situations(except something produced out of sheer dumb luck which could happen with any type of build) no matter if they're a good or bad player.
All in all, fun, sure, useful? I think not.

I like the strategy. The execution sucked, though.
It appears that YJ reacted to the speedlings normally, despite having seen no extractor. The contradiction didn't even phase him.
YJ's simple response reduced Flower's elaborate deception to nothing more than whimsical inefficiency.

Hey I'm just a noob... but surely, it would have been more effective... to just run the lings to toss, ignore scouting probe, and try and get them into his base? Hey, best of all, try and sneak the lings out after the probe got in, so the probe doesn't see them. then get your speedlings into his base and run around harassing like a mofo. maybe even if it was close positions use your lords to vis enemy minerals and drone to minerals to break zeals on choke?
It just seems like... whats the point of hiding speedlings? unless you're gonna do some annoying harassing at his base, when he's not expecting it... just avoiding the zeals while doing as much damage as possible.

Haha yeah. The funny thing is, I actually tried this strategy vs a fairly weak terran, and it didn't work because his scouting sucked so much XD
