Destination is a great map for Terran.



Honestly when i looked at it it seemed like a strong terran map, the only real issues i saw where getting across the bridges if your contained and the large main letting you get dropped. But i just checked the stats in TL and it was 60% imba for protoss so i just banned it. Not sure if thats just outdated or what.
I just hope everyone has a good time :)

I like your bans (to help terran), but overall I dislike the bans system as it will cap your development too.


Assuming it caps your development cause you wont be familar with some maps in tournaments and such if you decide to play off ladder?
I just hope everyone has a good time :)

it caps your development because you dont learn to play with disadvantages. abusing better map layouts for wins isnt the same as being genuinely good at all situations

Hello what is a good way to make sure you are making the right amount corsairs? One game I make 6 with +1 after scouting spire + scourge then get rolled by hydras. Storm was too late. Then one game I make 1 and die to a ton of muta/scourge flying in.
Yes scouting with 1st corsair and probe is key... is he mining gas at his nat? Does he have a den? These things can be a tell but it is still tricky for me. A good Zerg can just make a den and not do anything with it to throw me off. Advice?

It s a tricky question, but you should be poking with +1 speed zealots (assuming a neo bisu build from your post) around that time.
It goes like this: 1st corsair scout: no lair : hydra bust, get a lot of canons.
You see a lair, scourges chase you: not a 3h hydra. Get your +1 speedzeal 7:30 push with the sairs and push out to Z. If you see a ton of hydras, either delay by running around and threatening a backstab or take the fight if you feel you can kill a lot of hydras (usually taking the fight isnt great but you need to buy time for more canons and the storms/hts). Whatever you do if it s hydra do not freely lose corsair for an overlord, move them around, check larva production (drones? Hydras? Mutas? A shit ton of scourges?) Check for a 4th.
Usually (but not always) muta play comes on the back of more zerglings early (so the z doesnt die to zealot pressure).

Replays would help but if you die to very early (before the 8min mark) muta play, you should probably send yoir first one or 2 zealots towards z base to check/force lings.
A common mistake (and i still make it too often) in pvz is to sit at home and play blind. Use your units, z wants to drone early on, so pressure him, just dont die to counter attacks ^^

Edit: if you scout a 973(4) hydra bust incoming with your corsair, stop corsair production, cancel +1 air if you re tight on gas and get storm asap + a lot of canons, add a forge in your main to keep making canons if he kills the one in your wall. Stop canons and resume sair production and add gateways when you see z remaking drones at his 3rd/4th (use your corsair just to check his production, dont attack anything unless you have a free overlord waiting)

So what I understand is right click commands when microing carrier can be bad because a misclick will cause the interceptors to retract which is very bad. Has anyone experimented with patrol commands? Sometimes I play around with it and I'm like wow this is amazing and other times the carriers start targetting different things. Seems like there is the least room for error here however. Thoughts?

Anyone to have advice in PvZ when you play against Zergs who do big drop in your main? They get cracklings and drop like 4-6 lurkers. If I have my army either A) on the map or B) defending new expos I am making or C) pressuring his simcity, I will lose half my infrastructure by the time my slow army makes it all the way back to my main because of how fast cracklings kill stuff.

I have tried patrolling my corsair fleet (if it survives) around the exterior of my main, but the problem is they dont kill overlords quite fast enough.

I also am tried dedicating a portion of my army to just sit in my main, but then I lose the big fights because I am "down" in supply.

I think to try cannon in main is good idea but at what cost? vs cracklings? i think not

I tried recently putting a DA with maelstrom and 2 HT to snag the overlords but this is gimmicky. I need something more solid.

during later game where drop is an option, make sure you have a) some cannons b) one templar hanging out in your main c) a speed shuttle with reavers. the combination of those three will often do a fair job holding off reasonably sized drops. At the same time, zerg has 'get off a doom drop' as one of their victory conditions and you most certainly want to have vision over any drop path into your main, because if it catches you blind sided it can end up killing you even if you're reasonably well prepared. (especially if he also has defilers) - like if he manages to land 30 ling 5 lurker 2 defiler your base dies fast.

You want to have reavers, especially for defense (using them offensively is more difficult), once zerg is starting to use defilers. Storm+cannons can defend expansions until dark swarm comes, after dark swarm comes, you need to have reavers there. Generally protoss players build a second robotics in their fourth base, sometimes third. That depends a bit upon the layout and the flow of the game. (If zerg is playing hydralisk only and not bothering getting a hive, you can stay on dragoon zealot templar much longer, for example. )

Once you start building those defensive reavers, you should also get the shuttle speed upgrade (or earlier), it is crucial to be able to harass zerg expansions.

i think you're right about the strengths/weaknesses thing (i.e. i'm just bad). also i'm playing in korea so the difference between regions probably has a bit to do with it too.

That is what I am tend to do, but what if I lose my corsair fleet (or never make a big one to begin with)? Do I remake it so shuttle do not get killed by patrol scourges?

The gateway you choose has no bearing on who you get matched with, only your time of day/internet speed/geographic location (or more technically IP since you can use an IP changer).

EDIT:: I guess also if you're playing unranked then obviously you will play mostly Korean players, pardon the assumption that you were playing ranked.

Advice for dealing with guardians late game PvZ? If they spread them then storm is not that optimal. I think maybe mind control would work very well?

Has anyone noticed now that it seems more likely for a game to not change mmr when it disconnects nowadays? It used to be really rare but it keeps happening now (and the vast majority of the time, it happens when I win against a player, usually of higher mmr). It's starting to seriously piss me off because It feels so much more difficult to gain mmr now. tbh, It might be a problem with my own internet so that is why I am asking. That said, I've had the impression for a while that the last few patches have been pretty bad but that is just my opinion.
