I would recommend FKeys to rally Gates, btw. Useful in a lot of scenarios. FKeys are also very useful against mineral line harass.

I just dont feel i need it I just group my new gates into 567 and rally them forward somewhere works fine for me, the mineral line harass if I want to be rly rly quick i'll group probes in 1 2 and move them that way then just remake groups 1 2 after i dealt with it, no need for F keys imo

Of course you don't need them, you aren't a pro gamer

Speaking about mineral harass:
It's a good habit to use Fkeys, it is weird to get used to them at first but it is better than hotkeys for sure. They way you do it you waste time in hotkeying and then re hotkeying later. If you want to improve your game you should definitely use them.

Does anybody have any VODs of ZvT and ZvP 9 pools that don't end on the first run by (especially ZvT)? I can't seem to find any for ZvT. I just want to see how the game is played when the first few lings don't necessarily win the game but secure an advantage, or even when the lings completely fail and the zerg is at a slight disadvantage.

I'm by no means an expert (in fact, far from it) but I would argue no. I think your resources, gas especially, could probably be better spent either on another vessel, weapon/armor upgrades or some other tech unit. Of course I'm assuming you already have irradiate (TvZ) or EMP (TvP or late TvT) upgraded by then.

Again, I don't really know what I'm talking about so I would recommend waiting for someone more experienced to confirm/deny or expand on what I've said here.

Yes, it's nice lategame, especially TvZ. I've seen pros to do it as well, and I think it's even better for lower level players, because you might not be so efficient at casting the spells all the time and using up the mana. Also, they'll start out with more energy after being made, which is nice.

But yeah, not really something you get early on

By going SK Terran in TvZ it is an important upgrade. Vessels appears with ~62 energy instead of 50. Which means irradiates earlier.

Does a +1 carapace are zergling take 3 hits from a +1 attack zealot? Also is there a chart which shows damage to and from units Maybe in the form of hits taken to kill a unit?

yes, +1 carapace zerglings take 3 hits from +1 attack zealots. if you match carapace vrs protoss weapons zerglings take 3 hits

as far as i know there is no chart that shows damage to/from units

There is no stronger race, usually one has the stronger army but the other has more mobility

you don't have to but honestly it's pretty ideal to use location hotkeys
they're used constantly to send your probes to mine as well

Yes I am basing it on my own experience, one of the best way to understand things. It is not anecdotal, and I am a good player. I am sure many good players don't use Fkeys. The way you are writing sounds like elitist disdain to me, I don't like it.

By good player I meant Korean FPVODs. I know that "good" is a relative term so my apologies for not being more explicit. At the end of the day, I am going to trust Best over ProMeTheus112 about what is the better way to control the screen, unless you are better than Best, in which case I will trust you. It's not elitism, it's a meritocracy, just as it should be in a skill-based field such as Brood War.

I am sure many "good" players do many things that are sub-optimal, but that doesn't make it not sub-optimal. In Brood War there are many instances where "right" and "wrong" are not as clear-cut, but this is not one of them. You are either doing it the "right" way or "your" way. When a person comes into this thread and asks for advice on how to do something, I think they generally expect the "right" way as the answer to their mechanical queries.
