If you can't kill him early, I'd suggest building a huge reaver-archon-HT ball and park it right at their base's entrance and shit on everything the guy throws at you while you sauron what's left of the map in the background. That's what I do (rarely and I'm not very good at it.) 128x128 is the ideal size of map and you can also see 128X96 or 96x128 maps. 96x96 is too small while the next step to 128 is too big. | ||

I feel like someone made a specific guide for transitioning players, but I can't seem to find it. Liquipedia is actually a very good resource for BW though, while some of the Builds are not up to date the contributors have worked very hard to make it more beginner friendly.
