This is very interesting. I usually do this by sending scvs to his mineral, and closing my wall, then opening it when I need to send them. I will have to try it your way. Thanks for the tip.

I have a feeling someone on iCCup might mistake it for the gas trick though, and report you. Of course you could try to explain, but it's kind of a hassle, and there's no guarantee the iCCup staff would believe you.

Nope it's clearly neither of these, it doesn't go anywhere near a vespene geyser and when it maynards up their ramp it's not carrying any minerals.

So how is this different then just ordering the worker to mine at their mineral patch? This method seems more complicated?

extremely useful trick that i recently (like in the past week) discovered. was gonna post it, but you beat me to it! this seems mostly only good with terran as drones and probes are usually too weak to make it up the ramp against any defending units, and especially against 2 hatch zerg when they won't have speedlings or sunken yet to kill your scv.
