that's not the biggest issue because the destination nat mins and medusa main mineral placements are similar to this and it's managable.


A rectangular piece of land below and on top of the four assimilators cannot be built on, so basically even if you do go 7 pylon 7 gate, you won't be able to wall off completely. I went BBS at the assimilators, and still couldn't wall.

I didn't mean walling with it. You would use the the zealot to block the space between the assim with a probe or 2.

similar to how you would go 1 gate tech on troy pvz.

lol i'm sure after that game best and every other pro protoss player played a lot more careful .

anyway, that's the only option I can see unless there is some faster version of FE that can stop a zergling rush that I don't know about.

they'll balance it out by giving the mains 15 mineral patches and two gases...which defeats the purpose of the map.... xD

It looks to me like you could put a supply depot or pylon down next to the assimilator closest (vertically) to your natural and make an awesome funnel for any zerglings coming in. Even a Terran can stand up to a rush/drone drill at that point.

Obviously, I'd have to get a better look at the map to know for sure. If you guys have played on it why isn't it uploaded somewhere yet!? =o


Just downloaded and unlocked it. It's unbuildable terrain next to the assimilators. =/ That's going to be really rough.

I can't comment on balance but the map is actually incredibly technical and a huge improvement from its first incarnation when destructible neutral buildings was first introduced (to be known as the Casy era henceforth)

I think it would be a huge shame not to see a bunch of different match ups on this map. And that's why I hate standard proleague style over WL. It's always the same MU every fucking game after the first 2 weeks

i wish there were some way to force team to put out some different races on this map. i know zerg would probably win vs terran or protoss, but what about a pvt? or pvp or tvt? i think those would be very interesting to watch

What they should do is put neutral turrets, like the neutral sunkens in Colo2, except that attack. Put them around the mains so light air is less powerful mid game and so OLs cannot scout. Problem solved.

It's already balance actually. Tosses should just need to expand on Tempest's play and Terrans should do likewise with Light's
