We are not a "for profit" enterprise. We are not funded by any governments. This means we run the site the way we see fit. We are not obligated to observe anyone's notions of "free speech" or even "fairness." We try of course, and that's why we're consistently considered one of the best gaming sites on the web, and you are always free to give us suggestions. Just the rules of this site. I don't think what the administrators here are doing is right, but it's their site and you just have to respect their decisions. | ||

It amazes me how quickly willingly the community accepts back people who commit the cardinal sin. I don't know about you, but I really dislike cheaters and abusers. | ||

To me, this constitutes absolute and utter DISRESPECT for the hard work and ideas of TL volunteers. This is unforgivable. Because of this, I feel I do not owe LastShadow or KawaiiRice anything. They have forfeited their right to speak on TeamLiquid because of their massive disrespect towards TeamLiquid. There is no reason for them to "tell their side of the story" here, because their actions have already told their story. The only thing this interview will do it give a place for them to make apologies and excuses for their behaviour. I do not want to hear either. If they wish to regain their reputation in the community, they need to do so with actions and no words. Unfortunately, they do not seem to understand this. PM me if you have any specific concerns about this issue. | ||

Chika, if you expect to be respected with zero background or collateral to rely on, only post in your own thread and then interview kids like Kawaii/LS you will be quite disappointed.... When i joined the bw community i was scared shitless and very cautiously contributed what i could because there of how uneducated i was (and probably still am to some degree). This commentator/interviewer movement leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth when i see such a lack fo desire for education before getting involved. To see you try and defend idiots who you have had zero interaction with beyond setting up an interview leads me to question why you are doing them if not just for publicity/hits. | ||

I respect this opinion and that of Manifesto's, so I'll give my own response about Kawaii. About the interview being posted here, I definitely agree it is your right (TL admins) to run the site how you see fit, and I also understand your stance taken towards people who have cheated in your events, you can ban Kawaii and LS and whatnot and take whatever stance you want - understood. I made a choice to allow Kawaii a trial member in LighT, and I'll deal with the consequences. I've known both him and Lastshadow for over a year now, and I know (you can accept or reject this, whatever) that Kawaii is NOT the same as Lastshadow, although he can be annoying a lot of the time. Despite what you guys here think, I don't think he's going to do anything shady / malicious again, he seems to have distanced himself from Lastshadow, and it's been almost (or over) seven months since he cheated in the WCG Qualifiers. Anways point being, I think he definitely deserves all the shit he did - because he fucked up, and he deserves whatever timelimit on bans that TL wants to give him, since he cheated their event, but I've made a personal decision to give him a chance, I'm just hoping that he's sincere. | ||
