This is just what I thought, nothing is for sure :p EDIT: Because I had plenty of old accounts with over 2000 games (and some with pretty "1" ladder ratings =[ ) that were recreated by other people who wanted to fuck with me after 3 months. | ||

This is wrong, it works the same way d2 characters do If you leave the account 3 months it's expired. It still exists, but it can be recreated and someone else can take the name. so in the case of the account with {} it can't be remade because {} are illegal characters now so you don't need to worry about it ever. basically after 3 months its up for grabs but its still yours til someone takes it edit: hm i did not notice this thread had a 2nd page | ||

D2: You make a character named Xkdakeaw. You go inactive for 90 days and it expires. As long as no one else had created a character with the same name after the expiration, you can reclaim it and all the items/levels are restored. In the same way, as long as no one else makes a new account and overwrites your old one when its expired, you can reclaim it. | ||

If you're lucky (if u define that as luck), your account might last for longer if someone isn't in the mood of removing it. What makes you people think it wouldn't be automated? lol seriously. As was said before, you account isn't safe if you leave it for 3 months, but if no one takes it on you, you still have it. It has nothing to do with how many games you have on it. D2: You make a character named Xkdakeaw. You go inactive for 90 days and it expires. My characters all had retarded names I doubt anyone would try to steal, and they still expired... you click on them and it goes "this character has expired." I could make a new character with the same name, but none of the items would be there. | ||

If your theory were true, I'd be able to log onto it because obviously no one else could have taken it. It's probably something like a year before an account gets cleared, but 3 months before it's up for grabs. EDIT: Actually, when did it split into 4 gateways? Before or after they censored words and deleted characters? That may have something to do with why my old accounts stopped working. They may have deleted all inactive accounts (3 months inactivity) at the time they split into the east/west/asia/europe gateways. | ||
